I know several female engineers. Also I have several guy friends that I have never wanted to bang.

fair enough, but you're a fairly well-adjusted, intelligent human being.
You should have just @'d me, @pmshead

There's a difference between knowing a few coworkers of the opposite sex and going to hang out with them. Does Gooch let you go to HH with these guy friends and stuff?

It's okay to go to HH with opposite sex co-workers, jeez.  I think going to dinner or a movie or for drinks or whatever with one specific opposite sex friend is weird (assuming one is married).  I don't do that nor does my wife nor does anyone I know.

Well there's not a Hibachi Hut in Wichita, but I wouldn't need permission to go if there was....

Yeah, like one on one is kinda weird to me. I get a group setting. Maybe it's because I did want to bang my two best friends that were girls and accidentally did to one of them. I'm a monster, i'll admit it.

Yeah, I have gone to drinks, lunch, dinner, etc with male friends.

I can't think of a time when I've gone to a movie because most of the time when I want to go to a movie Gooch & I go together but if he was busy and my friend & I wanted to go to a movie (that Gooch didn't want to see) I don't see a problem with that. I mean I wouldn't be like, "I am going to see this movie that you want to see, but I am going with {friend} and you can't go."

I am going to see this movie that you want to see, but I am going with {friend} and you can't go.

that's exactly the situation the one poster set up w. regards to the other poster and his wife, though.

i do all the time, including tonight
will also do dinner or anything else i want to with friends of the opposite gender
the key is that "anything else i want to" doesn't include boner stuff, unlike some of the posters in this thread

Christmas work party. That's an accident. Taking a friend as a plus one turned out not to be such a good idea. Two years in a row, around the holidays, with  a single lonely girl. #science

I could be friends with Eva Shockey I think.  Would have to play the whole accidentally bonering her thing carefully tho.

A lot of liars in here. Acting like they've never wanted to be intimate with a friend. SMDH.

Even more of a problem is when the friend wants to be intimate with you.  That's the crap I try to specifically avoid.
