Thanks for the tips.
Be prepared for them to try to sell you crap on the plane too! Watches, Cologne, perfume, stuffed animals. All sorts of crap. Pretty entertaining.

Oh man...now I might do it just for that!

Ha after thinking about it, it may be an experience every human should have in life. On my flight they applauded when we landed. Was both funny and terrifying. Like, were they impressed that some hack pilot was able to land a 737 on his first try?!?!

I remember that as standard practice when I was a little boy.  Was weird when Americans didn't do it (to me).

Also, show up significantly in advance. They will close the gate like 30min prior to departure or something ridiculous (common practice in europe).

It's a completely crap airline, but its cheap. Fly some of the eastern european airlines (LOT, UIA, WIZZ, CSA) for a trip back in time with the flight attendants. Serious whoa factor compared the grandma's we have over here.

Just hire someone and let them do it all.  You might actually catch something, and you should almost certainly not die (not guaranteed tho).

SAS and norwegian are great for flight attendants also.

bite the bullet and use a cab or uber for $50-$60. the subway can take 2 hours, and your luggage has to be checked in 45 mins prior to departure for an international flight.

Probs like 5am. Uber will be fastest. Long Island railroad will be cheapest.

You probably could.  Whoever you book the trip through, ask them what is customary for tip.  If you catch a great big tuna though they are worth a lot of money so don't give that one away.

deep sea fishing = deep sea beer drinking while the mexican dudes drive the boat, set the poles, and talk to each other in words i don't understand

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I don't think you know what a fanning brag is. I've stated many times that this will be the first time I've stamped my passport.

should be good. I am notorious for getting to the airport too early. I always freak out about long security lines etc, especially at large airports like  JFK, which is basically a medium sized city.
