In the last week, after quite a travel slump, I've booked flights for 1) taking the fam to Portland to see the in-laws over 4th of July, 2) bach party in Chicago last weekend of July, and 3) first vision quest to CO over Labor Day.  All with miles of course.  It has reminded me I need to get back to churning.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

We had a blast. Denmark was amazing, the people there are incredibly nice and also incredibly attractive.

Belgium was pretty great. No Americans, because TERRORISTS! Drank a lot of really great beer. Met some cool people. Went to Bruges.

England was kinda meh. Just stayed in London and it was insanely packed. Could hardly even walk anywhere. It was really the only place that was like that.

Iceland was my favorite place. Crazy expensive. But absolutely amazing food.   Would go back right now if I could.

What was Icelandic food like?  I imagine lots of fish (cod?).  Besides that I wouldn't expect it to be very good at all.

Lots of fish for sure. It's actually hard to find authentic Icelandic food because it's pretty terrible. Even they know that. They eat fairly americanized food there. A big French influence as well.

One meal I did have an Icelandic salmon dish that was marinated in some sort of Icelandic tea leaf and served with boiled leeks. It was really incredible, and I'm not sure if it was because of the dish or the fact that it was an incredibly nice restaurant. Probably both.

Anyone ever done Patagonia?  Headed to Santiago for a wedding next April and I might as well do something else.  I've already been around Santiago plenty so looking to do something wild and scenic.

Hook up whatever international add on your provider has. Turn off mobile data... Connect to wifi when needed.

Or... Get a tmobile sim. Buy one month of service... Get free calls, texts, and data in a crapton of countries. Downside is new number during the trip.... But then you have mobile data whenever you need it. (assuming coverage).

you would need mobile data if you want to use your phone for navigation, right?
