An endless list of touristy stuff, I haven't even cracked the surface. Temples, shrines, history stuff. Climb Mt Fuji. Just observation of a culture that operates in a completely different universe from what we know is endlessly fascinating. Just ride trains. Eat ramen. Drink a lot. MG can trace Shoshanna's footprints. Just hunt down every stereotype j-culture thing you are aware of.

I have not. You can buy pervy little figurines but I have not yet seen any actual underwear. There is probably one in the airport I would guess.

BUT I have been handed Male Absorbers as a free gift. They were handing ladies female absorbers as well so that might help you out. This was at the international ORCHID GRAND PRIX where the average age of attendees was about 80 and the free adult diapers were a probably a much appreciated promotion.

I feel like more daps should've been given to me for correctly guessing the station but I guess it's the world we live in today, wake up America.

Just learn how to say "thank you" "excuse me" and "I'm sorry" and you'll be all set.

They all get rudimentary English at least in school. They know your letters and numbers. Most people can speak much more English than they let on. They are afraid of saying the wrong thing or saying something wrong.

They do not expect foreigners to know any Japanese. People will look at you like you're a talking dog for uttering the simplest Japanese phrases.

We were at a neighborhood restaurant where you order by writing what you want on a post it. We copied the Kanji (from the English menu) and they absolutely lost their minds over it. The cook passed it to all the other Japanese people in the restaurant and they clapped and cheered.

It does!

The largest and busiest station in the world is a statistically solid first guess.

gotcha. it does look like partyville usa outside of Shinjuku. when I go to Tokyo I'm just going there for a week and then flying back home.
