at first I was like, wow what a random number, then I realized that $58 divided by an 8 hour delay is $7.25, so it appears delta believes your time is worth minimum wage
you are a god damn wizard. That is exactly what happened. eff my life

Also rusty they overbooked by 5 people and I pulled strings to get out today by going from here to Memphis to Atlanta to Pensacola or else I would miss my conference tomorrow so I'm okay. It's all paid for so I don't care that much

In that case, you can usually get at least $250 when they start asking for volunteers.

Ended up being on the runway for an hour. Plane heats up and it sucks. Not sure if it $58 to sit in MCI sucks though. But I'm working now and you're getting boozed up so...

Sitting on a damn runway waiting for a gate after you land freaking sucks
getting to the airport for a flight at 7 finding out it has been overbooked and not being able to catch another flight till 3 is the worst thing in the history of my life(currently happening btw)

Our flight from DFW to MCI had 21 people on standby...    :facepalm:

when I went to vegas in february AA overbooked the flight and offered a free hotel (it was the last flight out) at dfw (which prob would've been the hyatt or grand hyatt), two meal vouchers, first flight out at 6am the next day, and a $500 voucher.  I got up and went up there but it was a feeding frenzy and I was too late.

I am planning a 4-6 day trip with my mom in July

MHK-->(1-2 days) Rocky Mountains(Grand Lake/Rocky Mt. Nat'l/Tabarnash)--> (2-3 days) Jackson Hole, WY-->(1 day) Ft. Collins-->MHK

Alternative trip:

MHK-->(1 day) Colorado Springs-->(1 day) Durango-->(2-3 days) Santa Fe/Taos-->MHK

Any recommendos on either trip would be great.

photography, hiking, golf, eating, drinking, tours of stuff, museums, art (viewing/buying) and other tourist stuff would be our mutual interests.

Green chili beer at CooperSmith's in Ft. Collins.  The whole Old Town area is tremendous for eating and drinking craft beer.

Santa Fe's old downtown is one of the great places in the US, I think.  Beautiful Southwest art everywhere.  Maria's is an amazing place to eat and sample from their ridiculous selection of premium tequila.  And, obviously, the place is Georgia O'Keefe central.

Look into Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs.

Would probably do at least one brew tour in Ft. Collins.

Good tips.  waiting on acsava to tell me more about Durango.

Have done and enjoyed Garden of the Gods.  Would go back.

If you're going through Denver, don't stop at Casa Bonita. I didn't know you could feel that sick without having food poisoning.
