7 hours most of the time.  The last time I did it we arrive at like 6AM Saturday, slept all day, partied balls all night Saturday night, stayed up way too late, then slept all day Sunday and were appropriately wrecked for Monday.

Try to sleep on the time of the place you are arriving to on the plane or even the day you are leaving.  See if Havs will let you borrow his Zzzquil

I guess I need to try drugs.  I can never sleep on the way over there.

What time do you normally wake up? I'd try waking up an hour earlier every day until you're waking up at 4am the day before you leave.

And I think it's best to arrive at the local bedtime.

115pm depart gets me 6pm arrival

Seems silly though when I could also have 115pm depart and 10am arrival.

Yeah. well then it seems like you could also have a 6pm departure and 5pm arrival. Just a suggestion that has really helped me in the past. Especially if you have issues sleeping on the plane - you arrive pretty exhausted and can get in a good 8 hours or so at the hotel.

I'm running into issues of a pud airport on both sides of this ocean.  Ain't no seats or something.  Not giving up on it though, still one other airline to check.

Try Chez Satan.  Should be able to get a table on a Monday, although you might have to pay the Ultimate Price.

Yeah I thought so too. Earliest way to NYC though. Found a place called Mercato. Extremely good. Had an app called stracciatello which was a stringy mozzarella over prosciutto that I will certainly bring lady br back for. If in NY near Times Square do it. Only a few blocks off

Does anyone fly out of downtown KC?  Where to?

I have a few times :kstategrad:

Nobody commercial yet...there were some rumors but think the runway safety runoff areas are too short to get FAA approval of regularly scheduled commercial aircraft....or I just made that whole thing up, can't remember.

Nobody is going to be flying commercial out of MKC. Probably ever again.

Only has one precision approach on 19 and 3/21 is weight restricted.

I believe it, for the .2 seconds you can take your eyes off the road to look at the airport, doesn't look like fun.

Yes, but it's called "on the fly" so it always takes me a while to find it.

It's really good with international alliances. Seems to find results that don't show up on airline sites or other search engines.

I'm taking on a new role with my company in the next few months. I'd like to have things together regarding airline travel. I'm currently a regional traveler. Most everything is done by car (company-provided) and I stay at Hilton properties. This new role will involve flights throughout the central and midwest US (Michigan to Texas). I will have direct flights to many locations from Louisville - Houston, Chicago, Dallas. However, that won't always be the case. Are there FF partner programs that allow me to roll into one package? With different airlines serving different cities in my territory, I'm not really certain the best approach here. Things that might matter - company provided AmEx for all charges plus airline and car rentals book through agency (I can use my own FF number).

If there is already a detailed post within the 141 pages of this thread, I'd appreciate a link to it. Thanks!
