but they have shitty boarding and you have to fly with 136 other Walmart shopping poors.

i've never had a problem w/ getting on a swa plane and really don't understand why it's any more difficult than any other airline

i've never noticed people on swa are any poorer than any other airline

Do they still do rando seating?  That's the worst.

Once southwest started lining people up in order, their boarding process actually became a little better than other airlines.

Mrs. WonderMeal wants to plan a trip this summer for just the two of us. Because of the age of the Li'l WonderMeals and the duration we can be gone (4-5 days), it's looking like the trip needs to stay in North America as long flights will eat up too much vacation time.

Early leaders in the clubhouse are Vancouver, somewhere in Mexico or Central America, or somewhere like Montana (or other Western states where we have never been). She likes outdoorsy things, but also tasty eats.

Plan this vacay, gE!
 :billdance:
Whitefish, Montana is beautiful, you could hike, white water raft, camp, and they have a local brewery and an eclectic variety of restaurants. Also you can eat huckleberries to your hearts content! And it's basically right by glacier national park, which is one of the most beautiful things you'll ever see!

Only problem is it's kind of a pain/expensive to fly there :(

who travels for work and checks a bag? Like, hauling around tons of work things or something?

Some of the things I use on site are not allowed in the cabin of the airplane. They really frown upon hammers, matte knives, etc after bin laden went and did his thing...

You can fly SWA or AirTran to Mexico and do an All-In.  If you find one with a kids program, they can run the kids ragged all day and you can drink on the beach.  Win-win.  I am probably going to do this once a year once I have kids.

I would go to Glacier National Park.

Also, it never rains in California in the summer.

**PAGING ALL CREDIT CARD CATS**

Turns out that my wife just qualified for the SW Companion pass (our primary travel objective is free domestic flights to see family--moo moo), so I'll probably hop on that for this vacay. I also have about 70,000 UR points thanks to my extra elite Chase Ink Bold.

Two questions for Steve Dave, mocat, Rich Daris, other cc studs:

1) Where should we go that SW flies? (see list below)
2) Should I transfer my UR points to Hyatt then book a couple of nice Hyatt stays, or should I go for the personal and business SPG Amex?

Recommend a SWA city for WonderMeal and Mrs. Wondermeal in June:

Cancun
Chicago (she's never been!  :sdeek:)
Key West
Birmingham (loljk)
Miami
Bahamas
Mexico City
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Portland, OR
San Francisco
Santa Fe
Seattle

Fly to SF, rent a car, immediately leave SF and drive to Napa.  Option 2: Nashville

Oakland would be much more convenient.

Sounds like a good strategy WM. Don't transfer them until you know what you want to book and know there's availability

Job interview in Cincinnati next week (job isn't there just the corporate office). Good ideas for lunch/dinner? Cincinnati chili is weird to me. Pasta in my chili?  :Yuck:
