Going to Atlanta for job training for most of a week in early December. Staying in midtown. Never been. Recommendations?

eat at La Tavola in Virginia Highland (basically midtown).  fresh/seasonal menus.  they served pickled-beet bruschetta when I was there in October.

also check out the other places in that area.  my favorite part of town to hangout/eat/drink (by a great margin).

for sports viewing, Hudson Grille is elite atmosphere on gameday

kc isn't a hub, layovers aren't an issue here

SW has layovers here. aren't you some sort of SW expert?
very few change plane, extended layovers which is what we are talking about.  try to keep up.

I did. They want the money you owe them.

i think flying in and out of kansas city is pretty easy. layovers? yeah, eff that.

New airport could/would also be easy to fly in and out of....might also open KC up to more directs if the airlines had an easier layover situation.

You're obviously not familiar with the hub and spoke concept.

Things change.  KCI isn't equipped to change or handle growth.  It's really pretty simple

No it happens every day, but if you're flying southwest I guess you don't really care about stuff being a PITA. However I did hear you can go from one southwest gate to any of them now without changing security. But there are layovers

Phil, I think I read about sacramento getting a shiny new airport and nothing really changing as far as their service opportunities. If anything fares got more expensive because airlines subsidized part of the cost of the airport

as it relates to mci expansion, the airlines have already said that our fares will go up and # of flights will go down

What was said early to try and protect their fees going up isn't the current message now that all airlines are part of the renovation/rebuild planning.

Biz journal has articles with southwest execs talking about their involvement in the planning. When they signed their new leases, the planning of improved KCI was part of the agreement.

The cost can't really be determined prior to the plan?? Some estimates were a billion for new, 500 million for renovations. All paid by airport user fees.

Streetcar has very defined budget and costs. Come on 'clams don't go all Steve from Shawnee
