Booked our London->Paris Eurostar tickets today.  They are, like, $60 each.  I assume I will pay that in cab fare to get to the station.

Where are you staying and leaving from in London? We're staying in Hyde Park area and leaving out of St. Pancras. I think we can hop on the tube from hotel to St Pancras. Eurocat, confirm?
Yeah, probably.  But I don't want to haul a bunch of luggage onto the tube.  We are staying in the Kennsington/Knightsbridge area just south of Hyde Park.  Planning on just cabbing it to the station in London and from the station in Paris.

Yeah, after looking at it again I think we'll just cab it. I'm pretty demanding on the amount of luggage we bring (one bag each that can carry-on), but we have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the tube and then another 10 or so from our stop to St Pancras.

St Pancras is literally next door to King's Cross station. The Picadilly line runes through Kensington (Hyde Park Corner & South Kensington???) you can take the tube direct to Kings Cross and just walk through the underground walkways to St Pancras when you get off the tube.

Dunno, never been.

Greece is amazing. Fly into Athens, see the Parthenon and take a high speed ferry to one of the Islands.

The black cab tour thingy is different than a "black cab". The real black cabs are regulated by TFL (Transport For London) and require the drivers to know every road within a 6 mile radius of Charring Cross. It takes most drivers around 3 years to pass the test, which is why black cabs are the best and most expensive cabs in the world.

Stay thirsty my friends.

Doubtful.

Also had free tickets, so if it is at least I didn't pay for it.

same drivers, you think I just picked this place without seeing it on Rick Steves?

It begs the question, "Who is there better than a fully qualified and highly experienced black cab driver to guide you through the streets of London?".
Surely it's beyond question that London's cab drivers make the perfect personal guides because they have "The Knowledge", that unsurpassed inside knowledge of London which is a prerequisite to them passing their exam and gaining their license.
Aspiring London cab drivers face the toughest exam in the world for any cab driver, and they are expected to know every alley, street and short cut in London, as well as all about London's historic sights, palaces, museums, galleries, shops and markets.
•your driver has passed the most stringent test before being granted a license to operate.

Mrs. Hamburglar and I have given ourselves the weekend to decide on a June vacation somewhere in Norht America. Need suggestions on where to go, just the 2 of us. No Nola and no Mexico/Carribean beach thing. Were possibly thinking Boston, but have done any research on it. We are pretty much open to anything else. Go.

This little dude had a blast in Vancouver.  Pretty elite dining and tons of parks.  I recommend the drive from Vancouver to Squamish, beautiful.

Took this at the park near Squamish.
