I had Big Truck Tacos last time I was through there and it was pretty good.

JJ’s alley for booze and to see if the pak head is still there behind the upstairs bar.

I vaguely remember mickey mantle’s and us having them slice up a filet as an appetizer to our big steaks.

Leo's BBQ, in a grocery store, just north of the capital complex is the best BBQ I've ever had, anywhere. Bedlam BBQ, a mile north of Leo's, is also very good, but very expensive. Bedlam has better sides, drinks, and you can actually dine in there.

The pakhead is no longer behind the bar at JJ's

Oh, then get something quick and convenient and go into the game early and catch warmups. There’s nothing there better than GSW stuff.

Lotus of Siam is #1, but when I went to Golden Steer people were passing out because it was so good.

I have been to Esther’s probably 5 times and I think it is really great. I have also never been as uncomfortably full as I was walking away from that place with chicat and I was full on sourdough bread (with like 5 butters and spreads), cauliflower, and squid.

Also depending upon when you are going Winnie and Ethel’s diner may be open. I really like the arts district and I would recommend going there and checking out some bars, restaurant and my favorite— the second hand stores and pawn shops. Really unique stuff.

Lotus of Siam is maybe the 5th best Thai restaurant in Vegas. I would much rather go to Nittaya's Secret Kitchen for Thai.

Looking for best things to do in San Juan, Puerto Rico!!

Just got back from there Saturday. Ask me anything.

Uber is great there. The rides are really cheap too for some reason. Go to Old San Juan and walk around. Its pretty cool wandering the old streets that are a mix of shops, bars, and homes. Taberna Lupulo was my favorite bar. Tons of beers and the bartenders were fun. I'll try and think of a couple more specific places, but just go to old San Juan and walk up the hill. "Down the hill" is where the Cruise ships get off and all the tourist traps are. There could be some cool stuff down there, but we avoided per a recommendation. There are cool places everywhere and they just sneak up on you. The last day there we found this tiny brewery and these guys were brewing beer and had a wok where they made asian style wings and stuff. There was all kinds of random stuff like that.

Oh hell yeah.

Is there a pretty distinct line that separates the tourist area with the locals area or is it a gradual dissipation of tourists the further inland you get?

All of these are great and I know it’s a little outside of San Juan but doing a kayak excursion to the bioluminiscente bay is worth it. Did it when I was there and it was so cool.

Its gradual, but you can tell. There is basically a town square that I thought was like in the middle. That is the best place for you to get your Uber and to get dropped off. The roads are very narrow and if you tell your Uber to take you to a specific bar, you may get caught up for a bit. Just drop at the town square. I don't know what the directions were, but the up the hill down the hill will be pretty obvious. The one thing I don't have for you is good food recommendations. I'm sure there were great places to get authentic puerto rican food, but we just never really found much. However, if you are a fan of tiny sandwiches like I am, those sum bitches are everywhere!!!! Every bar/place had a variety of sliders on their menu and I drank beer and ate the crap out of those. The buildings and the colors were just fun. It was a great place to wander around for a couple of days.
