A 3-star that played for the puerto rican team huh

How do PR star's convert to Domestic stars?  I'm guessing a *** PR kid = ***** domestic kid.

Great pick up for a team like Kansas.

The * conversion rate is shown on the back of all green cards.

Pretty incredible that Frank "I'll suck as many dicks as humanly possible to get out of Manhattan" Martin couldn't snag a single 4-star in this year's recruiting class.  K-State basketball... hey, it was fun while it lasted.

<------- Heard a rumor that plans were in the works to change K-State's official mascot from the Wildcats to the Fighting Cuban 3-stars.

Since you no longer recruit McD AA's, shouldn't your new sig be a pic of a JJ Barea type?

Welcome kids to Logic 101. Pop quiz! Yeah, yeah, it's the first day, but I think even the dumbest of you can figure this out. KU lost their two best players, both big men, and is taking some scrub of a big man late in the recruiting process. What does this tell you?

:jeapordymusic:

You there, in the back with the asymmetrical head, what say you?

"KU's bigs are gonna suck and Self knows it?"

YES!! What's your name?

""mmm-mmm-Mark"

Mark, you just earned 7 minutes in heaven with my grad assistant Lisa!

"WTF??!!"
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Unless it's Bo Kimble or Hank Gathers reincarnated, Loyola Marymount means nothing to me.

Sounds like he's an insurance policy if Jamari Traylor doesn't qualify, and I don't see him listed as an official commitment on any of the KU sites at this point:

KU is apparently buying insurance from some cut-rate carrier next to a used-car dealer.
I mean really, an insurance policy for a project? Bespeaks a program in decline. A few years ago, they'd haul in a Rush in the summer or it would come to Arthur in a dream.
What's that phase of Dax's, sad really.

Traylor is one of the best athletes in the '11 class and is ranked higher than any of K-State's current commitments.  By the way, Young to KU is official.

Six-foot-eight forward Kevin Young has joined the Kansas men’s basketball team, KU coach Bill Self announced Friday.

Young will be a junior at Kansas for the 2011-12 season and is eligible to play immediately.

“I thought we definitely needed a playmaker and we were able, at a late date, to fall into Kevin and we couldn’t be happier,” Self said. “He’s 6-8, thin and can play multiple positions. He reminds me a lot of Julian Wright — very bouncy, very athletic. He will most definitely be an impact player for us next season.”

Young, was a two-year letterwinner at Loyola Marymount in 2008-09 and 2009-10, starting 62 of 65 games played for the Lions.

“This is a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to playing at Kansas,” Young said. “They take a lot of pride in basketball and academics here and I’m ready for that challenge. I’m looking forward to working with my teammates and coaches and becoming a Jayhawk.”

A Perris, Calif., native, Young posted 9.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for LMU his freshman season and broke the school’s freshman records with 224 rebounds, 51 steals and 34 blocked shots. He also set an LMU freshman single-game record with 19 rebounds against New Mexico State.

Young averaged 10.7 points and 5.6 rebounds his sophomore year at LMU. He sat out as a player last year focusing completely on academics and completed his associate’s degree at San Bernardino Community College. Also during that time, he was a volunteer assistant coach at Barstow Community College.

"We’re really happy," Self said. "I know he wants to be here. It’s amazing how recruiting works. You work so hard for some guys and don’t get them and sometimes great opportunities just happen to come your way and this is certainly a great opportunity for us.”

In July 2009, Young, whose mother is Puerto Rican, played for Puerto Rico in the U19 World Championship in Auckland, New Zealand. Young averaged 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in the event as Puerto Rico went 5-4.

At Perris High School in Perris, Calif., Young averaged 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shot per game his senior season.

Actually sounds like a pretty good prospect.
