Gay slurs are terrible.  Do you know what is worse?  While a community of people are fighting to have the same rights as the rest of America, KU fans use their their battle as an excuse to carry out their personal vendettas against local television personalities.  Then they come up with bullshit stories about lipreading that are demonstrably false to prove their point.

To me, it sounds like he says Kayhawks in mispronouncing it.  Could he have said Gayhawks, sure, but anybody pretending to know definitively is full of crap.  For KU fans to make someone out to be a bigot because they think he doesn't like their team enough is stupid.  You are attacking a man's personal beliefs with no proof and vilifying him.  You are making a joke out of the term bigot and thus blurring lines between right and wrong.  Knock it off already, you are hurting the cause you pretend to be defending.

Yeah, there's no proof... other than the video and audio of him saying "gayhawks."

i really believe that their radio crew is a big reason the ku fanbase is so whiny and pathetic. in the three minute drive from my house to the library i heard the play by play guy bitch about three different calls.(ku is getting steamrolled by florida btw) i have no idea how bad the calls actually were, but he was as dramatic as you'd expect a person to be over a game deciding play. i've heard similar tirades from him when i've tuned in to ku football games. that sort of wimpy attitude gives license to the whole ku fanbase to bitch.
