It’s unlikely that for the rest of my life I’ll ever eat at a place in MHK that doesn’t have booze.

I can't wait for the waks Subway Tripleta Sandwich Challenge.

As much as I enjoyed the joke, I have never felt as much shame as ordering a Subway Tripleta in PR when they were about 2 minutes until close.  Those workers absolutely HATED me and it was 100% deserved.

I'm not sure if you remember the graffiti around those parts, but you may have been hated for multiple reasons.

Updates!

Beef-A-Roo: had a quick bite from there. Ordered the mushroom Swiss roast beef. It comes with an onion ring on it. Would not order again! I will go back to try the burger (have heard things) and a side.

Pho Viet: added banh mi to the menu. Had the pork one last night. It phucks.

Bootsie's: eaten there twice. I've tried the mortarella and prime rib pozos, the burrata salad, the potsticker salad, and the meatball dip. Everything was solid. The cocktails are pretty average and the beer list is non-existent but overall a nice edition to Aggieville. I see it as more of a lunch than dinner spot. The decor and the vibe are maybe the best part about the place.

Word on the street is Beef-A-Roo is close to opening?
Hawaiian Bros Island Grill going in off hwy24 next to Canes.
Whataburger in the old BK in aggieville??
Beef-A-Roo has been close to opening for over a year now. Never seems like a good omen when a place sits in limbo like that.
Same with Hawaiian Bros.

Haven't heard the Whataburger rumor and I believe the building is still up for sale/rent so I strongly doubt that one. Hawaiian Bros has a "Coming Soon" sign in front of the former Starbucks? location on 24. Sidenote: had Hawaiian Bros two weeks ago for the first time and I truly do not get the hype. But I rarely get fast food hype so  :dunno:

I think the sign says sold on the BK building now, idk who bought it tho.
I think that is a former Panera on 24.
I'll just be happy for something new on the far east side.

An old rugby buddy of mine bought this place, think a Mexican place went in there

Tried the new diner in Aggieville, Full Circle, for brunch today. They were out of quiche (lol would not have ordered) and B&G because they got slammed but the brisket bennie I had was great. Was really impressed with the food and service considering it was their first week open.

And this is that same friend’s restaurant.  They had good cocktails and a burger when I was there right after it opened.
:adios:

The Mexican restaurant that went into that BK is one of the worst restaurants I've ever had the misfortune of eating food from. Full Circle on the other hand is a delight. Fantastic breakfast fare (beats the Chef by a mile anymore). The burger is great as well.

finally got around to going there this weekend, granted it was sunday brunch was kinda super meh.  will need to try during non-brunch timeslot i guess, but vibe sorta sucked, food (we got brunch stuff) sorta sucked, there was the equivalent of like a 10w light bulb on for the whole place (we weren't even actually sure if the door was gonna be locked when we tried at 11am).  server twice tried to talk me out of a spicy bloody for my second cocktail warning it was going to be too spicy, which was almost so surreal that i had to push through just to see if it was made of aids and he was trying to save me or something

the whole po'zo thing seems like a massive #branding failure, was lol to not mentally insert "p'zone" while listening to literally every conversation from waitstaff trying to explain it to people

I definitely agree that it wasn't the homerun everyone was hoping for but Manhattan's food landscape seems so barren lately that I'm not upset with the product. Their brunch is definitely super weak (there's only three or four items) and I agree with you on the pozo thing being weird.

the “Not So Po’zo” moniker means they’re either normie sandwiches or hamburgers

I’m really leaning into giving you the authentic third party experience here vs posting the menu
