Fruit trees are blooming and everything smells great, guys. My giant lime tree that once produced 200-300 limes in a season was hit hard by a freeze two years ago and is still coming back. Last year it gave me exactly one lime. This year it looks like I'll get 5-10.

Need to get my pepps and cukes and squash in the ground. Going to skip 'maters this year. Might also try growing a loofah squash.

Mostly peppers sewn this year. Couple new ones, and some heirlooms I'm selectively choosing after every year to keep the best specimens.

A few dozen sprouts/seedlings at the moment. Looking forward to getting past this stage and getting them in the ground!

Getting there!!!

Just dropped 160$ on full spectrum blue lights to help vegetative growth. We'll see how they fare soon enough.

So lets see everyones garden!

Harvested my first asparagus over the weekend. A packet of radish seeds blew off a table and dumped all its seeds in the asparagus bed, im just going to roll with it for now.

Sugar snap peas are popping along the edges of garden. Also planted a ton of radishes because they grow quickly, will be planting corn there in about a month.

I haven't even tilled our garden yet this year. Still having overnight frosts! Probably gonna till this weekend and hopefully plant in another 2 weeks. Seedlings are taking off, though!

Last year i grew some corn in the middle of my strawberry patch because.....well i guess i got bored?

Anyways it was a terrible idea and the corn sucked up all the nutrients and my strawberry patch is puny this year. (You can compare the small square of strawberrys that had no corn to the long row)

I bought 2 strawberry plants at the store to bring in some fresh blood, also added a ton of red barn fertilizer last fall so hopefully they grow back strong.

Nice rebar caps
I have an intense fear of poking myself in the eye while im bending over tending my garden.

Summer after freshman year I worked for my uncle's concrete company.  We were putting in a foundation for a basement.  I tripped over something and managed to catch myself about 2 inches away from impaling myself through the chest on a piece of rebar sticking up out of the ground.  At the very least it was going to hurt really bad.

Lettuce / Kale / Broccoli / Pepper Plants /sugar snap peas.

Just planted the 4 pepper plants this weekend between broccoli and sugar snap peas. Peas will be done growing by mid june which is when the pepper plants will start getting large.

If you are looking for the easiest possible thing to grow its definitely radishes. I had an open package blow off a table and dump its seeds all over my yard.

Radishes are now growing in my lawn.

We used to mix in radish and turnip seeds in with alfalfa when planting a patch.  The turnips in the alfalfa field used to get huuuuuge.

Went and picked up some pollinators today!

New bee hive since we lost ours last year. Maybe some honey in the fall if they're hard workers, but we will at least get our veggies pollinated easily!

There are few scenarios more terrifying than traveling in a car full of bees.
