Well, looks like I'll have to come back to this thread once I'm out of college and have $ (1 more year).

However, is there a cheaper way to look fantastic? Outlet stores perhaps? Right now all I can afford is some AE and the occasional RL Polo.   :sdeek:

nordstrom rack, H&M, gilt.com, bluefly.com and various others are decent places to start if you want decent clothes and don't want to pay full price. i can send you an invite to gilt if you would like...  :peek:

Also, keep your eye open for end-of-season and clearance sales online at companies like Lands End and J. Crew. Can get 75% to 80% discounts a couple of times a year if you use a coupon code.

this is a seriously good tip. buy pieces that are simple and useable year after year. essentially buy your clothes a full year or several seasons ahead. you can pick up shirts and pants that will never really go out of style at the end of the seasons. might not be able to use them in the spring or summer, but you'll be thanking yourself when fall or winter rolls around.

If I could only give one tip to someone looking to upgrade their wardrobe on a budget, this would be it.

'clams, I want to be on your team, but first a preliminary question. Is this tank just as atrocious?

I'm wearing a pocket tee right now.  I mean, some polos have pockets on the breast.

It's fashion, you dumbasses.  It doesn't have to be functional.

Pro Tip: If your torso is 6 inches longer than it is supposed to be in comparison to your legs, then you cannot wear saggy pants to accentuate the fact that you are a mutant (unless you are the Michael Phelps dude, then you can wear your clothes however you want to).

I think the problem is I already kind of look like a douchebag in a tank. Put a pocket on there and it puts me over the top.

No, keep your bananas on the banana holder.
