Is this a vest-only event?  I say forget about the vest.  Don't wanna end up throwing down some scratch just for a frumpy, mismatched vest.

Not vest only, but as a tall individual I have the old "large not or long enough tie" dilemma, A vest helps solve that.

I need to buy a vest to go with a dark grey suit for a banquet tomorrow.  Where is the best place in MHK to find the balance of quality and economical?

Why didn't you buy the matching vest when you bought the suit like your wife told you to do?  :shakesfist:
(Oh sorry that wasn't meant for you.)

I outgrew my vest unfortunately.

Is this rough ridin' real?

Get a new tie then.

Buy a bow tie and TownieCat will teach you how to tie it.

Ties cost the same amount as vests.  :dunno:

Walk over to Marshalls on your break and get a $15 tie. This isn't too difficult.

I'm heading to Marshalls after I leave my day job.  But I'm not confident they will have ties that are longer than a normal tie.  Normal ties aren't long enough.

I don't think you're that much taller than I am.

Only way I've ever been able to tie a tie that was long enough was with a half windsor that was very little. Unless I have a vest. Then I can do a Double Windsor.

I'm pretty sure that every department store has a big and tall section with extra long ties. Also, add thetiebar.com to your bookmarks.

I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Wow, it is real.  You're on gE asking where to get a vest that you've bought before.

schemePAK'rs: you heard some of zach and I's stories about customers buying suits and ties, right?  ydarg's the prototypical customer we'd do that to.

try the four-in-hand knot.  Uses less material, and some lunatics think the asymmetrical look is stylish.

Previous vest was purchased at JCP, on sale, in a different city.  I dont have much experience with vest purchasing.
