Jamaicans are incredibly lazy.

totally disagree. the exact opposite really.

if they have actual road crews, then those guys are laziest.  I doubt they have road crews, though.  My god.

i just watched a travel channel show on top mexican beach resorts.  ranked #2 was a place in cancun called the meridian.  probably pricey.

never been to one, but all inclusives make me nervous.  lots of people seem to rate the food poorly.  but maybe they are just fat people from wisconsin who want everything to taste like applebees.  who knows.

I know exactly what you mean.  That's why I was kinda shying toward the ones that are pricier, with multiple restaurants, and reviews that seem to be written by non-mouth breathers.  I want to do exactly four things; Eat, drink booze, golf, lay around.  That's it.  Not one rough ridin' thing more than that.  Not one.
<<<got food poisoning in Negril.  Would have dramatic effect on 3 of your 4 things if you got that.  Make them cook that crap right in front of you and then make them try it first.  Maybe pay them a tip (even though you're not supposed to tip), but only during the next day assuming you didn't die first.

definitely at the resort, but don't know which meal for sure.  I think it was the lunch buffet.

if you want an awesome adults only go to Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta.

Don't go all in in pv, you would miss out on alot

PV has a lot of great places to eat, but just because you go AI doesn't mean you can't eat offsite.   The AI at Casa Velas is unlimited premium grade.   Gourmet sit-down food, and the best liquor.   True story:  we saw a honeymooning couple order a bottle of Blue Label poolside, and the brought it right out - sealed box and all.

would hate an all inclusive international trip...might as well lay around and get drunk stateside and not worry about brushing my teeth with the tap water.  if i'm going to go somewhere, i want to do and see stuff.

Can't go wrong with an Excellence. The one in Mexico and The Dominican are both pretty much the same and good.  On an all inclusive make sure you check the bar menu and premium liquors are included.

From my experience, all-inclusive food is horrible.  I mean, of course Jamaican folk can't cook decent Italian food, steak, etc.  They can make good jerk chicken, that's about it.

what would you compare it to?  school lunch?  why would restaurants have better food?

Sandals food was good at 3 of the 4 or 5 restaurants that I was at.  Very good.  some of the food was very mediocre though.  I'm guessing each resort is different, but the top food at each resort is pretty good.  If it's not good WGAF, try something else or leave and go somewhere else.

Bahamas have great water but the local food sucks and it's boring.

if you stay at a nice/expensive (relatively) all inclusive the food is good.  if you stay at a crappy/cheap one it's bad.  there you have it.  i know, my mind was blown when i realized this too.  i mean, wow.  huh.

lots of drug wars in Mexico, mucho dangerouso.

Make sure to wear a shirt that says you're Canadian. Also, it wouldn't hurt if it said your family has no money.

I've been to all inclusives and non in Mexico and Jamaica.  Choosing between the two definitely depends on what you are aiming for.  Here's my opinion.

All inclusives are definitely more relaxing because everything is taken care of and you don't have to worry about carrying around a damn thing except your room key.  Total stress free days.  There is less culture, but nothing is stopping you from taking trips out and about.  They also have on site travel guide people that will set everything up for you on a number of different excursions.  There are usually a decent amount of things to do on site too.

Food ranges from ok to excellent.  Basically the more you pay, the better the food will probably be.  The average food is still ok, but if you are looking for great meals, I would spend more on a nicer resort.  The average places like a Riu keep their prices reasonable by keeping the food very average, however, the food is not THAT bad.

Mexico is risky these days and getting worse.

I personally love Jamaica and had no problems with service or food (as long as you stay somewhere reputable you'll be fine).  I prefer it to Mexico, but it is more expensive.  Just a great vibe in Jamaica.

Based on what you are saying, I would go high end all inclusive and just kick back for a few days.....

i just remembered getting an awful hot dog once at a ski resort.  the other food they had was good, but i can imagine being stuck at a place where all of the food is as bad as that hot dog.  it would be a nightmare.

yup, just terrible.   Couldn't eat a bite of my lobster dinner served at sunset on the beach.

Breakfast was just terrible too.

Have been to 2 all inclusive places, and our goal at both places was pretty much the same as you, eat, drink, lay out, except no golf

PV  http://www.eldoradosparesorts.com

Big resort, tons of pools/bars, food was just ok (5+ restaurants), premium liquor was included you just had to make sure to ask for it or they're giving you the cheap stuff, nice rooms with jacuzzi inside, they have iguanas that just roam around the resort  :horrorsurprise: service was ok, only left the resort once to go parasailing

Jamaica http://www.couples.com/negril/index.php

Food was great, very small resort, still had 4-6 restaurants, only 1 pool, service was really friendly, room was just ok but you spend most of the time on the beach or by the pool so it didn't matter much. Left the resort to go zip lining and another time to shop at a little shanty town.

Edit: Both are adults only

Dude, you've already got to the point where you need porn to spice up your relationship you're either old or married to a fatty.  Whichever your case may be, the answer is easy:  A hot little mistress.
