« on: April 24, 2011, 08:19:59 PM »
Any of you dudes ever stay in an all-inclusive in the Caribbean?  I am eyeballing Punta Cana and Cancun.  Suggestions?

Whatever you do, don't go to Jamaica for an all-inclusive deal.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

My folks went to one of the Sandels in Jamaica and seemed to enjoy it.  Guess this was awhile back though.  :ck:

Compared to Mexico, Jamaica is just awful.  AWFUL.

Serious.  NO KIDS!

Was kinda looking at the Moon Palace in Cancun...seemed like it got some good reviews.  I've never stayed at an all inclusive...basically, we are looking for a easy vacation.

Oh. Ok then. Great argument. You've sure convinced me Jackass. What a joke. Would love more detail here.

Pete, how nice do you guys want? Cheap, good, really nice or increds?

i just watched a travel channel show on top mexican beach resorts.  ranked #2 was a place in cancun called the meridian.  probably pricey.

never been to one, but all inclusives make me nervous.  lots of people seem to rate the food poorly.  but maybe they are just fat people from wisconsin who want everything to taste like applebees.  who knows.

I know exactly what you mean.  That's why I was kinda shying toward the ones that are pricier, with multiple restaurants, and reviews that seem to be written by non-mouth breathers.  I want to do exactly four things; Eat, drink booze, golf, lay around.  That's it.  Not one rough ridin' thing more than that.  Not one.

Golf makes it hard. If choosing between golf or other fun type extracurricular activities (wink, wink), which would you take? Is golf that importante?

The other I can't enjoy right now, unfortunately.  Golf isn't that big of a deal.  Would choose better restaurants over golf.

Meh. All inclusives suck and also totally don't suck and can be the total opposite. Just depends on the reasons why someone wants to vacation, circumstances, how many days, etc.

Idk pete. Are you coming to springgamepak?

You could say that about every all in destination though. Seriously. Have spent a month total in jamaica. one week total at an all in and three weeks total not and would never go back all in. have been to pv and would go back all in. not saying you're wrong. Iot at all. Just saying. Pv is great, it's just whatever and there is no real right or wrong.
