I am an extremely white Midwesterner and I have never had cottage cheese besides in Lasagna and I freaking love cheese.

The consistency of cottage cheese just weirds me out.

Which reminds me, is "creamy Italian" dressing a thing anywhere but the white Midwest? I remember my hometown subway sandwich so offered it for a while (because people kept asking for it) but corporate caught on and put a stop to it because it wasn't part of the official menu.

Can confirm. Especially like getting them kicked off outside of the garage before they fall off the car and leave salty, sandy mush on the floor of my garage that gets tracked into the house until March 15th.

I always liked my wife’s lasagna. One day she didn’t have ricotta & tried cottage cheese. She didn’t tell me because she wanted to see if I’d notice. I thought it was terrible, but was nice & ate it without saying anything thinking I was just tired of lasagna. She forgot to tell me about the switch. For 2 years she’d ask if I wanted lasagna & I told her no I was tired of it. After 2 years she remembered about the cheese switch, told me about it, & no we are back to having good lasagna once a month.
