Which type of snake would be more prone to getting mad at me if I were to give him some lip? Are some snakes more defensive than others and insecure with the snakeness? I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I can be a smartass in a dry wit type of way, but I don't really mean anything by it. I don't want my snake pet getting the wrong impression if I make fun of it to my buddies.

snakes are very forgiving.

Camels are vindictive bastards. They'll remember your taunting skills from a 3 month prior zoo trip. Trust me I know. I taunted a Camel with a wise crack only to have him spit on me 3 months later during a different visit. He remembered!

why would you want to pick apart my life like this in front of other people? This is bushleague stuff, something a snake in the grass would do. Might as well stitch a Briggs logo on your lapel and go sell some jeeps you jerk.

My original point was, are snakes as a whole, defensive in nature? I bet the albino ones are. Crazy unstable fuckers.

Gip has stated that he would fight a monkey but that he draws the line at fighting bears, even if that bear is a major bully/bad person.

Lots of good advice in here for dealing with cantankerous snakes in your back yard

Quote
You don't need to kill snakes.

The thing to remember is that it's silly to try to kill snakes.

Snakes are unjustly persecuted enough as it is...because ignorant people insist upon killing them.

The ironic thing about killing snakes is that most snake bites occur during the act of trying to kill the snake!

If you are worried about a snake, just leave it alone!

Killing snakes is generally a bad idea.
