This. So many point to going home and hanging out with his son as "doing the right thing as a father." When, actually, sticking it out getting a good education, and with his talent, having a chance at the league, is the right thing to do as a father.

We have things in place here at K-State that can allow people to be parents to their children. It just isn't an excuse when you are 2 hours away.

Also, according to Cully_Cat, there is no excuse for wanting to "be a good dad by hanging out with your child" when you have the opportunity to not make a dime for 2 years to get the chance to have a cup of coffee in an NFL training camp. I guess I was wrong when I assumed that in Nebraska they had schools you can go to part-time to finish your degree while also working to be a responsible father and help support your son.

I know it is an exciting time with football, but some people like basketball more, so should they suffer with a lack of content?
