Fitz has known about that email for weeks but has been sitting on it.

by "sitting on it", you mean googling her photos and  :jerk: to it for a week.  right?

He is a lot more committed than that. He has put Becca in touch with Kelly. Trying to get Bec to transfer to UNLV and move in with Kelly.

If you don't like it, then maybe you shouldn't follow a sport that is highly dependent on persuading 15, 16, and 17 year olds to come to your school.

I'm also guessing that if you go for a job interview you only want to be taken to Applebee's, because taking you out for a nice steak would be pathetic.

Kids like stuff like fake sports illustrated covers.  If you think it's pathetic that a school is trying to impress kids, maybe you shouldn't watch a sport played by said kids.

Everyone does it.  There's a reason why companies take interviewees out to nice steak dinners and not to Applebee's.

I also find if funny that he finds this pathetic, considering almost every school has been accused of either supplying recruits with hookers and blow or paying players at some point it time.  (Frank Murphy says hi)

If a FAKE SI cover gets them super excited, we probably don't want them. Oh wow a completely FAKE SI cover. They are trying too hard.5/1 8:54 PM | IP: Logged

It shows them that they are wanted and OSU is willing to take the time prior to their arrival to put in work to create something that shows this.

In the article about the Argyle kids, they said a major selling point for KSU was that they treated them like top level recruits and really showed them how much we wanted them.  I'm guessing you don't want those kids either because they were impressed with our effort to show them how much we wanted them.

I also find it funny that you're criticizing OSU for doing every little thing they can within their power to gain an advantage because our entire program is based on doing every little thing you can to gain an advantage over your competitors.  I'm guessing in HCBS's entire 40-something year career in coaching the words "we tried too hard" have never come out of his mouth.

Sorry, I refuse to fluff.

I tell the truth, am honest, not really into stroking egos. May lose some prospective clients, but I sleep fine when my head hits the pillow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I congratulate you for that.  Says something about the individual who isn't willing to do "whatever it takes".  I applaud you, we'd have a lot less corruption if there were more people like you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

that is some great sarcasm thebalo...

"whatever it takes" includes $100 handshakes, free rent to the parents, jobs, and that stuff... obviously, you are not complimenting somebody on not making a $5 poster for a recruit and comparing those tactics to the stuff that somebody like reggie bush got...

i just hope the poster making the point doesn't fall for it...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right, because all corrupt people didn't start with something simple to "one-up" the competition, eventually taking the next step.  I didn't realize commending someone for their positive choices would upset people.

You have to be a boob to think that all those benefits you listed didn't start with something simple and steamroll out of control.

Since you don't seem to understand there's a general progression to things, I'll lay it out simply.  A one story building was the highest anyone had ever built until they decided to skip all the rest of it and build a 70 story giant.  Oh, makes complete sense.

Just linking them all to OK Cat's Dylan Meier thread would take care of about 1480 of them.

Email from a tuck I know. This tuck is a super oscar supporter and really bought the whole "if Frank comes back the whole team will leave" thing. Also this tuck hated Frank because he used too many F-Bombs and "looked like a lunatic out there." She insisted that oscar shouldn't receive the same criticisms for players leaving because Angel was totally just transferring away so he could be closer to his family. When I emailed her the picture of Angel in cargo shorts in front of the Miami logo, this was the response:

RE Angel: Well I guess now he is not only a traitor, he is also a liar (and probably a few other things, too). I will be consistent here and say, good riddance! I never cared for that little hot-dogger anyway, AND if the success of our sports teams wasn't tied so tightly to the wealth/health of our little town, I would quit on football and basketball together. Too many undeserving kids are being given an education they do not appreciate so long as they entertain us by playing a game they love to play while in them there lies no sense if honor, loyalty, or gratitude. It's a bunch of rubbish that I regret we have all bought for too high a price and for which we ultimately get nothing if REAL value. Sad.

That is a good example of someone who doesn't really like the sports but the social component of the sport.  She cheers the WildWildCats because that is what the others around her do and she wants to be a part of it.

Also, I may not be able to go to games next yr.  We need to segregate the stands in tuck and non-tuck so that there isn't a fan vs fan face punch sesh.
