It is free will, many have untucked and some have tucked by in.

Ignore SIAP: Let Klein know you're praying for him - Big Impact Reply

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was watching the movie Chariots of Fire the other night on TV, hadn't seen it since late 80s or early 90s, a movie about two British track stars in the '24 Olympic Games and the manner in which their beliefs impacted their lives and careers.  The FIRE in Chariots of Fire is the passion that each of these two runners, Jew and Evangelical Christian, have for their sport.  There is this scene where the great sprinter Eric Liddel gets knocked to the track, falls way behind the opposition and runs like a man consumed, to catch up with and pass the other runners.  Like CK, Liddel was from a family of devout faith.

I think one of the best things we as fans can do is to let Collin and his family know that we're praying for them.  This family who cares so much about education that they decided to do it themsleves gave both of their sons to KSU and even if you think CK's beliefs are silly or old fashioned, we all get the benefit from who he is and of the standards he sets for himself.

I certainly respect each person's ability to choose or not choose a faith, in this great country of ours.  However, in my own personal life, I had been agnostic or atheistic for a very long time until I had a child who was impacted by a serious medical issue.  Our wonderful and brilliant doctor encouraged us to find "spiritual support" from familiy, friends and co-workers.  I didn't understand or really listen to her the first time she said it.  Weeks later, she asked again and gave us case by case example of the wonders that had happened in that office, also saying that there was a "day and night difference" between families that shared a faith and those that didn't.  This time, we listened... and we prayed, as did hundreds of people we knew and hundreds of others we didn't know.  I got emails from people whose churches and cities I'd never even heard of.  I can't explain it, but something amazing happened.  Almost immediately, my wife and I became more patient with each other, we stopped feeling angry and tired all the time.  We found the strength, the right specialists and the money sort of just showed up to help us cover exhaustive medical bills, to change the direction of our child's life.

Ultimately, our son not only stopped having seizures and other brain problems, he also recovered from the impact of all that brain damage to such an extent that doctors who look at his files today are baffled, totally in disbelief about the progress he made.  I would hope for nothing less than that same impact for the Klein's.  Pray for CK and let him know about it.  He deserves it.  Everything else will take care of itself.

Maybe I should post this in the "Signs goEMAW is impacting your daily life" thread, but on the way to work, as God as my witness, I was wondering why we haven't heard from Elwood in some time and I was hoping for a post today.

I thinks it's pretty cool that HCBS lets his players have their individuality with dredds and such, just tuck them into that little purple hairnet deally that Hubert, Pease and others use. Another sign that he's come around a bit for his "youngsters".

Agree.  Also shows that they respect him enough to follow that 'rule.'  I cannot stand long hair hanging down a football player's back - don't care if they are black, white, or whatever.  If that was MY name on my shoulders, I would want it to SHOW.
Must admit it is KINDA cool on the Hawaii team - if the whole team does it.  Only exception.   11/13 12:45 PM | IP: Logged

My little small poodle/chiuawawa doggie named Frankie...named before he left....sits on small rug about four feet from doggie bowl, whenever she eats, always waits on rug until bowl food and water dispensed. Her first nibbles at food are taken from bowl,BACK to rug and eaten 3-4 nibbles, everyday every meal. Is this common behavior ? She is only dog,no competition for! food, I always eat before and am full, never been partial to dog food She always eats all food after her first nibbles. Why does she do this?11/15 10:05 AM | IP: Logged

Re: Andy Katz tweet

who the f#ck is Andy Katz. A few years back, he was some turd hanging around the office at Bristol, who they asked to start putting a NCAA bracket together (Andy, after you get me a cup of coffee, I want you to put together a projected NCAA bracket).

the guy never played basketball in college ... he's never coached. he doesn't f#cking know anymore than the common joe about basketball.

he does bracketology... with the exception of maybe 5 or 6 spots, everyone and their dog knows who is going to be in the tourney. And Andy doesn't really fricking know... he changes his bracket right before the selection show comes out when he receives some inside info.

Some of these ESPN guys crack me up.

has played college ball or is a former coach, I will listen to his stick... for example, I can listen to Gottlieb's stuff, because the guys knows the game.

repeat things he has heard others say.

And I guess he is moving up from bracketology and is taking Erin Andrew's old job of side-line reporting at ESPN college basketball games. I mean come on ESPN, if you're going to have some joker doing side-line crap on TV, at least put on a hottie. Samatha Steele probably knows as much about basketball as Katz.
