The fact that this herb played K-State basketball is the greatest damnation of Jim Wooldridge & his time here.  I hate your face Jay Heidrick.  Young tucks are the most dangerous.

Yet, Butler has played in more Final Fours than Kentucky since Cal went to UK.

It's not about the number of stars. It's about the getting the most talented kid who is the best fit for your program. Talent is important. Work ethic is important. But so are a ton of other things. If anything that is how our FB program was built. We have had some great players, but we've mainly had solid players who fit really well into what they are asked to do.

Personally, I am not worried if we sign a 1 star kid, and I'm not too excited if we sign a 5 star kid. We've had lower ranked kids excel and McD's AA's leave the program.

He's partially right, although I'd rather err on the side of recruiting 5 star McD's AA's

No he's fully wrong, talent always wins in college basketball.  Well the exception being that a coach openly admits to without prodding that he allowed his talent to play soft.  I love that he used Wally Judge to illustrate that one star scrubs like himself can be just as good of a fit for a program than a high school All-American.

Roast Beef Sandwich wrote another fluff piece, this time another Klein fluff piece.  Of course, someone started this thread in reaction to it:

Quote
Brilliant article Fritch, absolutely brilliant.

Also, Robert wrote an article on the Texas Ten Conference and Francisco.  For the record, Robert has contributed more to GPC than DJamer Scoops the last couple of weeks.  (Yes, Robert's contribution is greater than DJamer Scoops hitting record on a camera to film a couple of girls for 1 minute, then posting it for the pervs).

Calicatfan04- I DJamer one of my best friend's wedding, ONE weekend back in June. Give it a rest.

Smurfinator6- We won't have any recruiting coverage today, but I plan on trying out some sort of thread tomorrow prior to the game once I'm on the sideline and can see visitors. I'll post names and what not, hopefully we can include some video as well if the recruits warrant such attention. Hang tight, the coverage Gates and I will provide is certain to pick up now that the season is in full swing.

Used to seem like the first few non-con games were just chalked full of potential walk-ons from KS/MO high schools.  Given how important they are to our program, we probably should track them.  Its just that I remember mostly local kids the first 2-3 games.

I have had enough of this crap.  I have yet to respond to any of the so called moderators on this board that take a snap at one of the posters, but I have had enough.  Any time now a poster starts a thread about recruiting news, somewhere in that thread, one of the staff members from this site is going to take a shot at one of the posters.

And usually, it's Wallace.  You need to freaking grow up.

I don't care how sick you are of us asking for recruiting news, it's your job.  If you don't like it, find a new one.  Those of us that have been giving our money to Fitz since the 90's do it now and did it then because of recruiting news. Plain and simple.  Not to read articles with the same regurgitated lines about Collin Klein.

If you want to ban me, have at it.  The site isn't worth the 10 bucks a month any more.  At this point, we are getting more from Kellis than we are from this site.  And that doesn't say as much about Kellis as it does about GPC.

If you think you do enough with recruiting coverage, you are clearly delusional.  I can go to the South Carolina website right now and link you at least 10 full recruiting stories that they have done since your last "Friday's Findings".  If they don't have anything to write about recruits considering South Carolina or that are visiting campus, they are doing articles on the best players in the state with write ups about how the season is going so far.

There is plenty you could do, but hey, there might be more parties to DJamer.

I understand the hate for him because he is hating on Manhattan so much which should not be done EVER.  But why are our fans telling the guy to go die on twitter?  Multiple fans of ours telling him this.  Get a life, thats low life no class garbage that mizzou fans would pull.  Grow up and represent this university like it should be represented, the BEST around.

Boom! And there it is. The 3000 word D Scott fluff piece on Sams has arrived and it is beautiful.

About 30 minutes after he tumbled into the end zone, heard the crowd and felt the love, Daniel Sams, whose goal is to one day capture the "crystal football" for Kansas State, stood inside the team meeting room at the Vanier Football Complex. He wore a dark sports jacket, white shirt and tie. He also sported a pair of wide eyes while trying to digest what had just happened.

"It still hasn't hit me yet," he said...

D promised OK_Cat and I that he wouldn't include any crying in the story.  He's a lying liar.

OT: As I typed that last part, I kind of had a flashback of drunkenly calling somebody that this past weekend?  Fanning, any recollection of that?
