It's just amazing to see someone, in performing their job, brag about how bad they are at their job.

As much as it pains me to say it, I don't think you can blame Wallace on that one.  He is just using the Rivals system as it is intended to be used, i.e. one guy for Rutgers calls a kid, the kid says he has an offer to Kansas State, and the Rutgers guy pins the kid to KSU.  Wallace is just doing his job by calling the kid and finding out the Rutgers guy effed up.

I think it's funny that the first 2 KSU recruits that he's tried to call all year aren't KSU recruits after all.

Hey, now, those are the first two recruits he's called who have answered their phones. What is he supposed to do when the recruits don't answer? Write a letter? Ol' Wally is just living the life of a beat writer following LHC LHC Bill Snyder, and oh, what a hard life it is.

My version of Rock-A-Belly in Olathe Reply

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey Cat fans, my name is Willie Vader and I just opened a bar and deli in Olathe called Dub V's Bar & Deli. I'm sorry if this sounds like a plug, but I have had dozens of people come in because of Gopowercat.com.
Long story short, Rock-A-Belly was my favorite bar at KSU and I've wanted to own my own since. What I have in Olathe is a cross between Rock-A-Belly and my brother Joe's bar in Fort Collins, CO Lucky Joe's. I want to thank you all for coming in and giving Dub V's a try. I love it when you guys come in in your Purple. It lets me know we are ONE. We most assuredly stick together better than any other Big XII school. Please help me spread the word. I'm going to advertise on Gopwercat as soon as I figure out how to. Right Dave?

We're at 122 N. Cherry, which is right off Santa Fe and one block East of Kansas Ave. Park in the lot east of the building.

About Dub-Vs.  I will never eat there because it's called Dub-Vs.  It's also in an Olathe strip-mall.

Slow traffic day. No better way to get page views than by attacking Kansas State (aka "America's Team").

Thanks for sharing that.  I thought it was a pretty fair assessment regarding the uphill battle we face in matching/beating last year's record.  That being said, I could point to a lot of teams (hello WVU) who could be worse due to the "one man show", tougher schedule and close games reasons the author listed.

Can't wait for the season to begin!

Sounds like a great place, Belvis.  Stop being a hater.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Agreed on the shitty name. You should open a sandwich shop in Olathe called Rock-a-Belvis. That would put Dub-V out for good.

I'd open a place, but only if all of my clientele were clad in purple all the time.

As it were, located next to the JoCo Court, most of the traffic would probably be cops, fat office clerks, and criminals.

Wonder if BSAC is reading this thread...

With the closing of Kites there is a vacancy in the metro for a true Kstate bar
