Why I hate Lawrence ( Long)   Reply

So my daughter had a dance recitel at the Lied center (typical they pronounce it leed, but lied is the way I see it). Anyway that morning my wife asked me not to wear any KSU logo items. I am not a typical ku douche (3 logos or more) so just a golf shirt is all I planned on wearing. I stop by Quiktrip as I get into Lawrence on K10 for a soda. I have my youngest with me who wants a frozen drink. The sign says .69 drinks and .89 frozen drinks. I get one 32 soda and a 22 frozen drink. I approach the cashier and one side has a lady on it and the other is open. I step on the open side and wait as the cashier is talking to the lady. It is almost 30 secs of chatter while I stand and wait. She has already paid but the guy is just talking to her. He looks over at me and glances at my shirt and turns away and keeps talking. I go to QT 5 times a week at least and have never had a problem before. The people their are always friendly. This guy finally stops talking to the lady but during my wait another person got behind that lady and he then serves her while I am standing there. Now I am pissed and I can only assume it is the wildcat. He then comes over and takes my money in a rude way. After I pay I look at my receipt and it say 1.09 for the frozen drink. I look up and read .89 on the sign. I then walk back to the drink area and the sign for frozen says .89 up to 32oz frozen. I then come back and asked him why I am not being charged .89. He barely looks at me and explains that is the refill price but 1.09 is the new price. I look around and see nothing about that. I admit I already have a chip on my shoulder for being in the ass-hat town but does anyone know what the price should be. I don't care about the .20 but my feeling is he just charged me extra for the wildcat log.
Any help would be appreciated. I filled out a complaint for the attitude regardless and should be getting a call from c/s in the morning.

Today and yesterday my TV / cable went on the Fritz my wife went goofy trying to "fix it" she is a Tiger fan... yells TIGGERTIGER every time he is playing. But yesterday while couldn't fix TV,I simply came toGPC to get updates on the golf played. I thought calling Time Warner asking about unplugging the cable box and plugging back in, miiiight be a good try. To surmise, today,when I wished to watch CNBC I called Time/Warner. "Mr. Dewerff try to unplug the unit..Rep lug it back in". Perfect TV! So i can watch Stanley cup tonight. And be smug ly noting my expertise with televisions.

I love how the simplest technology completely petrifies the elderly to the point where they won't even try turning off and unplugging something.
