No, it doesn't sound mean at all. It just sounds rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). It makes our students look like hicks. Our students are a bunch of redneck hayseeds, by and large, so I'm not sure why anybody would expect different.

If You Want to Send it on: Letter to Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year   Reply
I just sent the email included below to Glenn Greenberg, the contact for Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year. I was really excited for Snyder to be rewarded in a way that would be meaningful to him. I know that a gift to a local charity would mean more to him than a lot of the accolades. Letters of frustration don't amount to much but Liberty Mutual is a business and I, as a customer, am giving them my criticism. If you want use my text or write your own, send it to [email protected].

Dear Mr. Greenberg,

While I thank you for offering a very nice reward for outstanding coaches, the charities they support, and the people that benefit from the charities, I am very disappointed that the "Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award" devalues the choice of everyday fans.

Everyday fans voted for Kansas State coach LHC Bill Snyder over 150,000 times throughout this year's voting period. Supporters of Les Miles could not even vote him into the top three of fan voting. Since fan voting only accounts for 20% of the total vote, it's obvious that Les Miles won the award for Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year from the will of Media and the voters from the College Football Hall of Fame.

Unlike the voters of the media and hall of fame, the fans had to manually navigate to your website and enter their email address and a security code each time that they want to vote. Many fans went through the process of voting many times for coach Snyder. Why not make the fan vote count for a larger portion of the total vote? How about 55%? What about 100%? Are you more concerned with pleasing the inclination of the media and millionaire former players or the average fans that pay to watch and go to the games week after week?

If the fan vote were a mere popularity contest that favored the coaches at the biggest schools it might be reasonable to add weight to the votes of the media and hall of famers. But, in this case, Coach Snyder received an overwhelming majority of votes, and he was up against coaches from schools with much larger stadiums, endowments, athletic revenue, and fanbases. After all, LSU has a stadium that holds 92,542 people, an endowment of $385 million, a student enrollment of 29,000, and a history of football success. K-State has a stadium that holds 50,000, an endowment of $277 million, a student enrollment of 24,000, and a much smaller local population.

LHC Bill Snyder built a successful football program at a school that had been so unsuccessful in football that it had considered terminating the football team altogether. His accomplishments over time have been a miracle at K-State and this year's team was spectacular in its over-achievement and heart. K-State's team inspired over 150,000 fans to vote for Coach Snyder on your website. Why shouldn't that be the most important factor in determining the award? Are you more concerned with letting down the media and Hall of Famers than everyday people? Is the choice of fans less important? Less accurate?

Additionally, Coach Snyder has a salary of $1.85 million per year while Les Miles makes $3.75 million per year. Coach Snyder has made large contributions to mentoring programs and youth activities in Kansas and to important cancer research at K-State. Many people voted for him on your website because they believed he deserved the award and that it would be a fitting way to thank him for such an inspiring season, career, and his leadership in the Kansas community.

I count myself among many fans that voted for Coach Snyder on your website and who are now so disappointed by the outcome of the voting that they will not vote for future Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Awards and are now disheartened with Liberty Mutual. I hope in the future you will give more importance to the choice of everyday fans.

CLIFFS: this guy is a rough ridin' idiot and this will get laughed at and thrown in the trash

Yeah, let's just give the award to whoever the fans vote (multiple times) for. That makes sense.

not sure which is worse, thinking that voting 150,000 times actually helps or writing a letter to tell someone that you voted 150,000 times as if that will change the outcome

Nothing wrong with Fitz's post saying that.

When I get emails in the middle of the night asking about updates, when it is just about impossible to be getting anyone, it gets old.

I didn't post who I've tried to show I'm working.

I posted who I've tried so you can see how much work it is to get anyone at time of the year when there are no visitors.

Sorry I sent mixed messages in my OP. I really do appreciate the list of names you are trying to get a hold of. That was the original intent of my post, I shouldn't have added a passive aggressive dig at Fitz in it. I know it's difficult, I appreciate the list of names to keep up on. I also know you are going to stick up for Fitz because he is sticking up for and protecting his guys.

Don't necessarily want you to call today, but a 2013 recruit named Jordan Willis from Rockhurst. Rumor he may have been committed for a while now.

Re: People who don't want BV to come back are nuts!

Sounds to me like the people who want him to come back haven't heard the story of why he shouldn't. If you want to hear why BV should never be allowed to come back to K-State just leave your email below.

posters then proceed to leave their email. :blindfold:

That works no less than 3 times per year on that god forsaken board.

Then people start chiming in and laughing at all the idiots who leave their email...and the emails keep coming in because most of those retards use thread view and only read the first post before responding.

Yeah, pretty similar to the whole PigAggie thread response. explained, mocked, continued.  Explained again, mocked again, continued again.  etc.

I tried this on Twitter last night and got nothing.  I probably laid it on too angry in response to the Squeaks post and the GPC guys picked that up.  Either way, was disappointed.
