Wonder how Frank feels being UM's standby ho? They're gonna try everyone else first, and if nobody takes them, they'll go back to FM (who will be ready by the phone).

All the AR non-signing tells me is exactly how much FM wants to go. Even when all signs show that UM doesn't want FM, FM is telling AR to sit steady while he's going mad with hope that he actually gets a call from UM. Must be a massive blow to FMs ego. One would think anyway.

i also say 0%.

I do too, and I've been wanting this to happen for the last 15 months, back when I thought Miami would never bring Frank Haith back for 2010-11.

The new AD came out and said what he's looking for in a coach. Frank Martin fit none of the criteria.

It's over.  :frown:

Even after that very informational thread, I can't figure out WTF Kstateo is.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Kstateo&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1680&bih=945

It's pretty great that this pulls up the national ag safety database, too (complete with tuck)

looks shirtless to me :horrorsurprise:

Only a tuck would mow their yard with their shirt tucked in, or possibly even shirtless.  And of course wearing jeans while mowing.
ass-less chaps :horrorsurprise:
Hey hayseed, chaps are inherently ass-less.
please note the specific ass cut out.  Come to the big city and I will open your eyes.

Then those would be pants, not chaps.  Hayseed.

Nothing like making a 61 year old, soon to be 62 year old life time mid major coach the top target for an ACC program.   Nothing says "we're serious about basketball" than that (potential) hire.

That's why it's a garbage job and nobody in their right mind (who could do better) would actually want to coach there.

Yet Frank in so many words practically begged for the job.

I wonder if Frank listened to Haith's introduction press conference.  He pretty much gave a 20 minute explanation of why the U sucks at basketball and why the NIT was the best they were ever going to do given the support from the alumni, school, and local fan base.  This was also his basis for why he was mediocre in Miami but will be the crap in Missouri.

Frank obviously wants to go home bad.

When's Angel signing fellas, thought that was going down 2 days ago, how long has the early signing period been open now, a week right??  How come AR hasn't signed his LOI??

If Frank's not going anywhere, how come AR hasn't put his signature on the line that his dotted over a week into the signing period??

dax, just because martin thinks he has a chance, doesn't mean he has a chance.

Yet, you have no idea if he doesn't.   Clearly Team Frank still thinks he has a chance.

this is true. I actually bitched about him paying so much attention to Ellis when he probably had a better chance with other elite recruits that he was ignoring. But now he's not ignoring the other elites!

1.  kstate still has a small chance.  it's down a lot from self's (otherwise funny) nosedive in '11 recruiting, but he could concievably still pull something out his ass in '11 and get other early '12s.
2.  it's important for perception to compete for elite instate talent.  if you accept your own status as second tier, it makes it very easy for everyone else to do the same.  competing for elites makes you a more acceptable choice for the top 50-150 type locals that ku routinely passes up.

I actually LOVE that idea.  If he's off the blow, he's ready to go.

I think Pete was on the blow when he posted that he wanted Quinn off the blow.

Are you suggesting that it was the blow that made him the dynamic recruiter and impassioned instructor?  You prolly have a point if you are saying that (cough, cough, venables,  mike stoops, cough, cough)
