That kind of pisses Frank off because he at least wanted the offer so he could bend Currie over, or possibly because if he could get all his demands met of course he would go doom it up in Miami.

Frank is pissed/hurt that Miami doesn't want him and that he lost that leverage and is rationalizing it to the press by saying Currie sabotaged him and made him seem untouchable salary-wise.

I kind of agree with this more than any other so far, except for the last sentence.

why would he budge, martin just shot his foot off in terms of any kstate salary negotiations. going for blood would be serving him the pay cut that the miami job snub and his public disloyalty have earned him.
