So I've skipped the last 6 pages. Has anyone brought up this business about Mizzou's "curators" (wtf?) vetoing the Haith hire? Mizzou academic/athletic deptartment experts, what is a curator, and if they do turn down the Haith hiring, does this mean we're safe?

Miami hasn't released Haith yet.

I don't see anyway they can actually do that. I mean are they going to turn everyone down until Alden reels in Coach K?

The KBOR can veto a coach's salary but the money could still be raised from a private source. Not many states are interested in hiring a state employee making 1.5 mil right now.

I think they've probably gotten some immediate backlash from some donors who aren't totally down with this hire and have decided to take some sort of public stance of due diligence.

He'll get hired by Mizzou if that's what they really want (and I can't believe this is the road they've chosen to go down).
