This decision seems so logical and easy. Yeah, there is some admitting he was wrong with hiring oscar, but he heals nearly any residue of that decision by hiring Brad.

Considering we all know how this will end, the best thing that could happen is when Currie has to fire oscar next year, he calls Brad at OSU and gets a very loud go eff yourself.

Wouldn't the best scenario be if Brad does well at OSU and KSU just hired him away like OSU is some kind of a farm system for us? Would really depend on Brad bleeding purple.

I would rather have him right now. I like to imagine Brad's absolute floor being a year like we just had with Oscar, but Brad having a much higher ceiling than oscar

Currie was heavily involved in hiring a successful low major coach to revitalize a P5 school's basketball before.

I'm sure he hasn't forgotten.

Pearl went from Milwaukee to Tennessee and was wildly successful. Currie has gotten a ton of credit for being instrumental in the hire as an associate AD.

This one makes a lot more sense than that one.

He just has to admit he made a mistake.

Why does he need admit a mistake. Move forward do what is right for program. This shouldn't be hard. eff do what is right for your career and don't place yourself in tough spot.

I don't think that is necessarily true, most hires don't pan out. I think about it is taking the right shots. Not walking the tight rope of perfection.
