OK, I just realized this.  Gotta buddy that's a KU grad and HUGE Hawktard.  Well, he ended up taking a job last year in the compliance dept for the Richmond Spiders.  It was pretty funny when they played last week, but now it's just rough ridin' hilarious.  He lives in Richmond now, which is also where VCU is.  So not only was it really awkward for him on Friday, now he has to deal with the fact that a university in the city he lives in just beat his beloved hawks and apparently they're partying so hard that streets had to be shut down.  Can you imagine!? 

Oh man, this is fantastic.

I've never had the heart to tell him that working in NCAA athletics is probably not the best career path for him.  If you've ever known anyone in higher up NCAA athletics, they have no loyalty to any school.  They root for the school that writes their paycheck and they'll root for a different school tomorrow if somebody offers them a better job.  He's such a huge Hawktard that this career path is gonna crush his soul.  I mean what if a Big XII school offers him a great job?  Would be a nightmare for him.

Yup.  He wanted to work in the NCAA so bad because he thinks he loves NCAA athletics.  I'm afraid he's soon gonna realize that he just loves the Squawks.  Richmond beating them on Friday would've put him on absolute suicide watch, but this was a close second.

Sad thing is, he had a pretty good little practice going here until he bolted.
