isn't this forum supposed to be about k-state sports? i know VERY little about our sports teams as compared to other schools, but i do know a lot of the players because I've tutored the athletes for years. at the football facility right now in fact. the problem with writing anything about that, however, is the potential breach-of-contract involved in mentioning any real details.

Oh my! Write about the mentoring stuff just don't mention names. I want stories abiut this. The more absurd, the better. Maybe drop hints on who is beng referenced. You should be fine there. I want embarassing kstate athelete dirt/stories.

I think Beth should write about student loan debt. Particularly debt as a result of private school graduate degrees that don't result in employment opportunities that are capable of yielding a sufficient return on investment. Or, a story about eating ramen noodles for dinner every night when you are 30.

You people are thinking too small. This is Beth Mendenhall for God's sake. Off the top of my head:

1. Build the case that KU has the dirtiest athletic program in the history of college sports.

And if that's too easy:

2. Take down all of college athletics. The argument centered on the hipocrisy of big money made off the backs of free labor has been made, but you can make the case (based on your own experience, it sounds like) that college athletics hinders or even prohibits the education of the student-athletes.
