I honestly have never been approached by someone I didn't know and been told I should be an atheist. Have been approached by the religious and told I need more Jesus in my life a lot of times. A lot.
Are you from western KS?
Nope, Eastern.
Also, the Christians didn't seem butthurt about it, but they do say stuff about praying for my soul for me or how I will be sorry on judgement day, etc. Maybe that is the christian brand of butthurt and they just show it diff?

in my old neighborhood, once a week someone would knock on my door and invite me to attend their church, then give me the silent judgment face when I told them no. I started simply telling them that I was already a member of a diff church so that they wouldn't try to further the convo.
Them: "we would love you to be our guest at the blah blah baptist/methodist/catholic/etc church this sunday"
Me: "Yeah, sorry we are methodist/Catholic/Baptist/opposite of etc, so we can't"
Them: "well as long as you have god in your life..."
never once had an atheist knock on the door and tell me to be atheist.
