Well think what ever you want tardo.

Well played.

I like AR-T.  I think he'll be fine.  Yes, Louisville offered him.  So did NC State and Miami.  I think he's a solid pickup.

But let's not go overboard with a quote from Art Alvarez.  He's good for a quote, mainly because they're slathered in hyperbole like well cooked ribs are with BBQ sauce, but he's not really a credible source for evaluating talent because he'll always talk up his guys.

Show us the link where Pitino says he'll be one of the best PGs in the nation.  I'd love to read it.

I spent some time with Rick, and he seems to think Angel is one of the top point guards in the country.”   Damn could it get any clearer learn how to read dude.

I want it directly from Pitino.  I don't want it from Art Alvarez.  You can't trust what he tells you about that kind of stuff.

I mean, hey, the NBA is still salivating over Asprilla according to him.

Sprads is a nice complimentary point guard, but I think we've seen enough to know he's not Pullen or Clemente.  We need either a top flight transfer or Angel to be the guy to fill that role for us, because I don't see it on the roster.  That's not to say it won't happen, because if one thing has been consistent is that Frank finds a way to address needs.

He's not Pullen or Clemente, but I think he can put up numbers similar to Pullen's sophomore season next year. He just won't get them the same way Pullen did, just like Pullen didn't put up numbers the same way Clemente did. chum has a great point - every FM team has been wildly different, but have all been pretty successful.

I could not care less about "leadership".
I agree with the first comment, but I disagree with the "leadership" point.  I think having a player-leader is important, particularly with Frank's style of coaching.  Don't get me wrong, I love Frank and his style, but he rides his players like rented mules and clearly takes less of an "encouragement" approach and more of a "WHAT THE eff ARE YOU THINKING!?!?" approach.  Seems like it's important to have a leader amongst the players that can take the former approach and give the guys a "rah-rah" after Frank verbally kicks their ass.  I dunno, just seemed like every time they showed the huddles and Frank would implement the "stare TO", it would always be Jake or Clemente before him to give a couple claps and some encouragement that would snap Frank out of it and get them to stop pouting.

I guess it just seems like it would be really rough ridin' hard to take that kind of constant verbal abuse from a coach unless there was a "leader" on the team that everyone respected to balance it out with a different approach.

it's not important.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

We've had Frank teams without them, so I agree with you.  But It seems like Frank has tried to develop/designate a "player leader" if he can.

What Frank team didn't have a leader?

I'm on neither side of this, but just curious who was the leader Franks first year?

Not like Frank had time to designate a "leader" anyway, I'm just curious who you think it would have been.
