Yes and yes.

Houston are generally top 30 in recruiting under Kelvin. That being said their two best players, Shead and Sasser are both 3 stars and Sasser was recruited in the only class in the last five that wasn't in the top 30. His team is crazy old, he's done a good job holding onto and developing his guys.

Buzz wore those vests all the way back to Marquette, just not as frequently

So I was talking to a friend last night about how "Virginia lost AGAIN early in the tournament"...

The loss dropped Virginia's record against double-digit seeds to just 3-4 over its last seven opportunities, a stretch which includes the program's historic 2018 loss to No. 16 seed UMBC and marked the fourth time in Virginia's last five NCAA Tournament appearances that it has lost to a No. 13 seed or worse.

...and totally forgot that they won it all in 2019.  I'm sure their fans are bummed, and it sucks that people like me only remember the losses, but that title 2019 is pretty great.

I suppose there might be a handful of coaches that “choke” in the tourney with regular appearances at the 4 seed or above but I doubt it’s very many.  If you show up to the dance with a good seed consistently you will make a deep run.

I don't know how anyone could forget their championship, it was one of the best championship games of all time. Kind of a tech choke job.

I - any many old EMAWs - had a similar experience in 2001 when Wooly's second team beat FD 88-45 (I vaguely remembered that it was a beatdown, but didn't realize it was that bad).

I can't imagine us being that incompetent at scoring. Could see us giving up 40 points off turnovers, but we will run the floor and score points.
