BSFS Expansion Thread

I actually had elite insidery information, that the biggest powercat and the "kansas state university" on the other side are all wired up with LEDs behind them, and they ran conduit up to both signs, but the university elected to not spend the final $1500 to finish wiring them up, truly K-State0

Not sure what $1500 could have achieved.  Number is pretty low, even after conduit and run and wire pulled.  Now, if you meant $15,000, you'd be a lot closer (but still a bit low for how much would have to be installed to do it right.

I won't quite go for the K-State0 label on this one just yet for being cheap at the end (in light of how much money has been spent for other details), but maybe still for a lack of foresight and not planning on it in the first place (which still seems the most likely).

$1500 was the number i got straight from the horse's mouth, said the only wire needed to be ran was from the conduit to the LED power hook-up.

Which makes it even more asinine that they didn't do it.

Noticed something today when looking at other stadiums and their recent renovations.

It's well known Currie went down to check out the Arizona end zone fun zone expansion. After looking at pics, it would not increase capacity as much as people may think to something like this at BSFS. If you notice, they have bench seating throughout the stadium like us, but their expansion is all chair backs and suite seating. Which we know take up a lot more room. Looked it up and capacity has only increased by a little over 4k with this expansion.

That leaves the question, if we did something similar, would tucks want the NEZ seats simply because they're chair backs? Would anyone? Everyone?

Sorry KC, I already had my crew pull the conduit (sold it for scrap $1537) and take the LED light to my garage for installation.  I hope you kept your receipt for the wire.

build cheap benches in NEZ, convert west side benches between the 40s into chairbacks

convert east side benches between the 40's to chairbacks. wrap around the northeast side and build a deck over there for overflow. have a student section in that northeast end and also a separate recent student section and then allow them to intermix up top. boom you're welcome.
