i think they'll be fine. they were behind but more like a week and not a month. that was due to having more wind than is typical for mhk during a time when they should've been hoisting steel or whatever. i'm sure there might be some finishing touches that aren't completed but it'll be negligible if at all.

it looks really large up close. not so much far away. looks larger when looking at it from the front and sides then a straight back view that you normally get. chance of trees....not so good.

Trees...meh,

We need something that will be distinguishing and that all the ag students can get all excited about...

We need hedge sculptures

Throw a PAK head on there and BOOM.

As of a couple weeks ago the steel work was a month behind schedule

I think I heard from a MHK business owner there was something like a $50K a day fine levied on the construction company if not finished on time...was I dreaming this?

Somewhere on here they mention the fines for being late.  That said, if they can reasonably blame any lateness on KSU decisions/changes, they won't pay a thing

i'd pay the AD extra for them to bring in some giant sequoias from NorCal.

I would like a dozen or so  200 ft tall pipes with flames shooting out of the top instead of trees.  Call em powercat pipes.  use some chemicals to make the fire purple (hint: potassium maybe?).   can have them in sync with the fight song or wabash.

in any event, be they giant sequoias or the p-pipes, we're gonna need to raise some serious scratch to pay for these rustic beauties.

i vote we call the campaign: KSU, FOOOOOOOOOOR TREE!

i dunno pissclams. Do you think we can successfully get them to adapt to our environment? But if anyone can do it, it's John C. Currie.

Is that a normal expectation as to what should be done in a week? The differences between those pictures looks like a month's worth of work, but I don't know jack about any of this.

I thought so too, but as far as the March 25th estimate go, it looks pretty close... missing some steelwork at the top of the pressbox, limestone work on the south end isn't quite finished.

How about palm trees?  We could tell recruits that MHK is a tropical paradise, and that the snow/cold weather on their visit is a once in a lifetime aberration.  It could not hurt recruiting, and it might help.  And the palm trees will survive up here.

Send 'em to KU to beautify their wreck of a stadium. Much better fit.
