What is the capacity of that new UNLV stadium?  If it's big enough, that would be a perfect location for the Pac 12 CCG.

Agreed. The P12 bball tourney is in MGM this year.

Fwiw, project confirmed behind schedule. Pretty sure we all knew this. Source A+.

Good, if it get far enough behind and they miss some of the big deadlines dates and penalties start kicking in, we get the new pressbox dirt cheap and can redirect the money to phase 3 stuff.

Nope.  High chance the project is behind schedule due to the Athletic Department needing 200 people involved to decide the style of handrail to be installed.  Also Currie has to have a say in every little thing when it comes to these projects, and it slows them up tremendously.

So the project will be behind, but penalties will not accrue from the contractor due to it being K-State's fault.

This is exactly what I've heard.

I've been told KSU is the worst client ever.

currie's gonna currie
This is also confirmed. Was told of one specific change that was a problem that came directly from Currie himself.

I'm late to the party.  My guess is it won't finish behind and KSU will pay a premium for it.  When they take a long time on changes the contractor get's more money in the change order due to them having to figure overtime, etc... plus if they can negotiate it they can get more time.  The reason the contractors won't pay LD's on the project is much like why they didn't on the east side stadium.  If they get it to where fan's use it the first game then it will be considered substantially complete thus no LD's.  Unless KSU put some different language in the contract.  On the east side KSU didn't get any LD's because they had paid other contractor's to come in and help finish up the project.  Since they used the east side seats for the first game it was contractually complete and they couldn't charge LD's and I heard a rumor that they even got a bonus for getting it done on time.  Hopefully this admin is better than that.

Please, Nike took soccer over in the early 2000s. Adidias is 1980s hipster garbage

I think it started in earnest when Ronaldo wore those badass Nike Mercurial's in the 98 World Cup.

Okay, some folks in Tuckville were talking about a new North Endzone Video Board that went from sideline to sideline.

Not sure if serious, but if so,  :surprised:

That's the dream being tossed about.  :barf:  However, it is all based upon tea leaves and some sort of whacky .  There was kind of sort of (but not really) mention of a new video board (well, it might have been in one rendering) of later phase plans.  Now, because word is out that ribbon boards will be in place for next season (all about revenue), they think that means a new NEZ board.  Haven't had the heart to point out reality, would just be  :bang:.  It sort of beats out the usual  :runaway: and  :jerk: of the board.

Official release says yes, at some point in time . . . speculation says it's coming by next fall.    Same with a distributed sound system (crazy talk I know).

The rumor has been that the AD has been scheming money like it is no business and all not major structure parts of phase 3 are funded to the point were bids are being taken.
