Damn!  I'm gonna miss the early postings.  Scheduled to take a Chinese guy on a BBQ run afterwork.

And, no, that ain't code-speak.  Former exchange student back in town and he wants a few of his old teachers to make him pass out from good BBQ (which, living in Topeka, means a trip out of town).

Oh, and by the way.  My dad didn't get talk to his source that is a contractor on the project about the drawings (let alone hit him up for renderings/drawings).  Ended up in the hospital over the holiday season and somehow that got in the way.  My dad's EMAW quotient seriously took a hit for his lack of dedication to the job.

IRVING, Texas | Kansas State will unveil plans Thursday for a $75 million expansion project for Snyder Family Stadium that would create luxury boxes and a press box that would span the entire length of the stadium’s west side, according to sources close to the program.
The announcement will be made at a Cotton Bowl pep rally Thursday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Sources are optimistic that K-State can break ground on the project as early as this summer, with construction taking place around the current press box, leaving it available for use during the 2012 season.
The expansion, which K-State athletic director John Currie has listed as his top priority for months and has spent time raising funds for since last summer, calls for a total renovation to the press box, a five-story structure that was built in 1993.
The new structure will stretch from end zone to end zone. It will include additional club-level seating, suites and a new working press area, as well as several other updated amenities.

It's a phased project.

how many phases? what does each phase entail?

If I remember correctly it was a 3-phase project.  Phase 2 was the main pressbox and phase 3 was wrapping it around and little and hopefully the weight room.

Was phase 1 message boarding about it?  Because I think we've almost completed phase 1.

The expanded weight rooms as well as I believe the players will be getting there own kitchen and eating area as well. This will go on the side of Vanier between the new press box and Vanier.

haven't seen any other mockups or anything but people have told me things.  good things.   i'm also accepting PMs from people with mockups and other good things (or bad things, I guess) so everyone feel free to PM all that insidery stuff to your pal steve dave.  this post should be enough evidence of the steel trap of secrets that I maintain.
