Am still adamant that this won't happen. I mean, wouldn't they have already started on this if they want to get some of it completed by next season? Just doesn't really make any sense to me.

Who says any of it will get completed by next season?

Master plan=maybe it'll get done in the next 10-15 years. maybe.

I never thought it would ALL get done by next season, but some of it? yeah. at this point it would be hard to get anything major completed. granted I'm no construction guy or anything.

I don't know what to tell you except sub-contractors are already getting assigned to the project.  I know that for a fact.

just seems odd they would keep this all so quiet. don't schools usually like to get renderings out to the public to sway recruits and donors and such? is there a reason our AD is keeping it so quiet? maybe, just seems like there's no downside to making it public vs. keeping it under wraps. or maybe I'm just Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)

They had renderings from Populous, and they decided to switch firms to AE COM.  From what I understand, when they did that, they also decided to change the scope of the project and make it bigger than it was initially supposed to be.

CC said on the last page that we should hear something in the next couple of weeks.  My friend said they'd be starting work in January.  I'm not sure how much money they need to get in donations because I was told they have all of the money already.  That could be wrong, but that's what I was told.

There is a Donor meeting after the Pep Rally in Dallas with President Schulz, John Currie and special guests.  Says there will be a special announcement.

He said that that I should look at the Martin stadium renderings because that was what he thought we'd do based on what he heard, but he had no evidence at that point because the whole "wrap the bowl" thing was a sticking point.  I guess the people that donated a few million to renovate Vanier were kind of upset we wanted to tear it down and start over.

We should plaster the people's names on Vanier who don't want it torn down.   Having their names associated with that ugly piece of crap may change their minds.

Thought this thread could use a quick dusting. Seeing as it will explode on Thursday (after the pep rally)

Hey, Cap, will there be a website to go look at the drawing shortly after the pep rally or will we have to rely on piss poor cellphone photos?

I'll take piss poor cellphone photos at this point.
