Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

not as big of a mistake as it was when they added the upper east side and didn't include bathrooms that ten years later had to be built on stilts.

12 technically. AND a guy died. :horrorsurprise:

after walking the 270 the other day it seems like a huge oversight to not put restrooms concessions in the corners under the video boards.

but maybe the big tent lobby fought hard for against it

agreed, not having concessions/restrooms for the good people of the NEZ was a huge mistake. hopefully they can be added at some point?

Agreed to a point. As a NEZ denizen it would be sweet to have our own set of vendors, bathrooms, etc. But it's also not that long of a walk, really at all, to basically go around the corner on the NW or NE side and use the concessions/ bathroom there. Also those lines for those end concessions and bathrooms are also pretty darn short, so it's not like it's been anywhere close to a hassle. Would be it be nice and even more convenient? Sure, but it's not like it's inconvenient to use the other areas a mere extra 100 feet away. Plus, they have so far been putting some smaller temp concession stands in those large areas against he railing behind the video boards that does more than enough of a job.

I'd take having the seat backs we have in the NEZ vs. having to get a cat cushion and semi closer concessions and bathrooms every damn time.

not as big of a mistake as it was when they added the upper east side and didn't include bathrooms that ten years later had to be built on stilts.

So very true
The setbacks are very nice, I'll give you that.

But if they're saying bsfs is going to be elite, shouldn't they get rid of tents and temp concession stands? Not very elite. Just build a quick hut that some popcorn seller can set up in. Easy.

Add more tent. The farmers market atmosphere would just add the K-State gameday experience

So I guess it's nice to have a nice stadium to get our asses kicked in.  The quality of our recruits hasn't really improved.  I'm hoping it will at least help us recruit the next coach who will be capable of leveraging the facilities into some decent recruiting.

Well Delton was looked at by a lot of schools and our new guy is a four star like Freeman was, so yeah. We just don't know if they'll pan out yet.

Better prospects than Klein and Roberson, yeah, by like a whole lot. Will the potential of Delton and/or Thompson be in that group, who knows? I will say that I'm guessing that they will both be better quarterbacks than Klein, that isn't a high bar. He wasn't a good quarterback, he was a physical freak that was abused by the coaching staff. Roberson was also allowed to develop on the field, something that we don't do anymore. Dimel wasn't here when we actually let a QB develop while playing, its too bad our head coach can't grab control of his own program.

Kids, for now things are might be slowing down on the K-State sports facilities front with no projects on the BOR Capital Project list until FY 2020, with an $8.5 million dollar soccer/baseball team facility proposed, football field replacement/field wall, and new roof for Bramlage.

This summer they'll be doing an $850K renovation of the game day dressing rooms in Bramlage, and I understand they just remodeled the V-ball dressing room as well.

There's also a couple of other things that may impact athletics on the list.   There's a new $18.5 million dollar residence hall slated for the Jardine complex in 2020, and a new $80 million dollar dorm is slatted for Derby Complex in 2020.     Wefald Hall is getting closer to being done and it had a price tag of $80 million.

was really hoping for south stadium improvements sooner rather than later, but I guess I'll take a few more elite dorms too.

If that's the plan I guess it's ok. The stadium once the the corner is done is pretty much "good enough" for the interim. It has improved drastically.

I think south stadium improvements, adding an uppder deck that connects bramlage & bsfs, would take it from "good enough" to a pretty elite stadium

Agreed, that and the wall/new turf, and finishing the video and sound.

So is this where I start talking about the conspiracy against Kstate at the state level?

It seems the Regents staff is not down with KState's request to build a new $43.5 million dollar diagnostic lab at the CVM.

Kstate is clearly being targeted politically.
