Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

Seen a rough scaled down version of the plans.

I think it looks small, but I was told it isn't.

Friend told me not to post it, so I'm gonna be a good friend.

You shouldn't have posted that little nugget.

I'll probably post it on Friday night.  It's very scaled down though.

I'll probably post it on Friday night.  It's very scaled down though.

That's the problem with athletic department and the professional firms leaking the early renderings.  The early ones are better than what we will ultimately get, and people are going to blame Currie for the final product looking bad by comparison to the renderings.

Sad, really.  It's not Currie's fault but everyone will blame the crap out him.  It will be quite uncomfortable for him, I'm sure.

Honestly this is just a small construction blueprint that people bid from.

It's very rough.

Friend told me four stories and its deep.

Is it basically the floorplans we saw earlier?

I predict that it will be at least twice the size of the current Vanier complex which is about 64K square feet.

The current Vanier is a far cry from "four stories" and it looks like the 'footprint' is considerably greater as well.  From all accounts the interior will be palatial based the fact that it's gonna cost almost 2/3 of what the WSC cost and won't be nearly 2/3 the size.

Yes, which I predict that new Vanier will be at least twice the current Vanier.

Saw an updated version that my source says was current as of a few weeks ago. It looks great. Similar to WSC, the north facade is very castley, and field side south facade is a bit more modern. Will match our cruise ship nicely. Corners are just a bit more open then I believe they were previously, but appear to have been terraced into some neat standing room sections (I think). Big corner boards. Definitely a 360 connected concourse. Finally saw a couple interiors, too, and that's going to be the real upgrade. Looks amazing. And source still says announcement next weekend.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Talked to Manhattenego based bro last night, his construction industry buddy was in his office last week, gave my bro the approximate sizes.

About 130-135K sqft total.

Weightroom approx: 15-17K sq ft (old one about 9500 sq ft)

Dressing Room approx: 8-9K sq ft (old one about 5500 sq ft)

So that makes it more than twice the size old Vanier, and about 65% larger than the AFC @ ku.

What is the square footage at all those big schools who have the largest Weight rooms and Dressing Rooms(<--I think you mean locker room)?

It depends.  16-17K square feet is nice size weightroom, but probably only puts K-State in the upper 3rd of D1 major conference football schools.

Dang.  :blank: Was really looking forward to mushing Bama fans because K-State had a weight room on par with theirs.

The size of the weightroom will be more than adequate and it's not like recruits are breaking out tape measures when touring facilities.  It will appear every bit as large (likely larger) as any school with whom we are competing for recruits.

I'm of the belief that you hit a point of diminishing returns with "size" once its large enough to be functionally adequate for 130 athletes to use at once.  At that point, it becomes more of a question of whether you have state of the art training equipment and how "visually appealing" the amenities and decor is... and that is more the focus of this project.

As I stated a number of pages back, the term used by a couple of ITK people I'm acquainted with that have seen the interior rendos is that it is "Oregon-esque"...  If you've seen the pix of what Oregon did, then you'll be very pleased.
