A goEMAW Elite reminded me via text that historically K-State doesn't announce the lead gift on a capital project until at least 3/4's of the cost has been raised.

You're right, I'm just butthurt the new CBA building is happening right after I did my four years in shitty Calvin Hall.

I didnt hate Calvin but that new building is going to be sweet.  Worst part was how hot it always was when you first walked in the building.

I was back on campus earlier this week and caught up with Dean Malekzadeh. I was the president of the Dean's Student Advisory Counsel my senior year when the planning started) The newest (and final) plans are considerably different than shown in the "Calvin Today" issue. It's even better than you could have imagined. Leaving all of the mature trees, expanding Lovers Lane, rooftop terrace, 4-5 stories (can't recall), etc. It's great, you guys. PS, fundraising to the $55MM goal is completely done and then some. Construction will start this summer.

This makes no sense whatsoever.   You're telling us that all $55 million dollars has been raised with private money?  How can this be, we're just a bunch of bake sale taters with no wealthy alumni, holdin bake sales and lining up by the truckloads to dump our piggy banks into a big tater bucket.  Didn't two tater alums donate $10 million each towards this project?

Bob Krause facts from a source of mine in tech support @ EMAW U:

- When he was AD and VP for Student Affairs or w/e, he insisted on two laptops.  One laptop in Anderson Hall and stayed there plugged in at all times.  The other laptop was in Vanier and stayed there plugged in at all times.  But he wanted them synced.  So another laptop ran in his office in Anderson with the sole purpose of syncing his two laptops so that whenever he changed something or added something on one, it would update the other one.  Cliffs: Bob Krause invented cloud computing.

- He insisted on having a wireless mouse even though he never took his laptops anywhere.  When he was angry about something he would throw his wireless mouse against the wall and break it.  He went through several of them.
