Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.

Our current video board is the 57th biggest at 61 x 23 and 1,403 square feet. If it did get 4x as big it would have a square footage of exactly 5,612 square feet.

That would give us the 5th biggest video board in the nation, right behind USC and ahead of Michigan St.

So yeah really damn big.   :Woot:
Does that include NFL or just college?  Impressive given it will be one of 2 or 3 "video" boards in the stadium.

That's just college.  Our current one is 57th:

The biggest in the world is 108,000 sq ft.   :sdeek:  Although it appears that it's just essentially the sides of several buildings.

Not sq ft...linear.  I don't think that should qualify as a "video screen", at least in the traditional sense.

How are video boards measured?  By diagonal width or by area?  Then I'll be either  :excited: or  by CC's statement.

Holy crap, can you imagine four times the distance diagonally? :Wha:
That would be 16x the original size in area, correct? 4x the size in area would be about 2x the length diagonally, I think. (dislike math)

That is correct if you keep everything in a square. (2 x 2, 4 x 4)

I'm pretty sure the east side aesthetic improvements have to do with the club level. I believe Currie said something in his letter about the club seating, and I'm pretty sure that he meant a remodel, and not a complete overhaul of the facade on the East side.

Phase V - East Stadium Upgrades

Concourse Additions and Aesthetic Improvements
An expansion and update of grass roots fan amenities to the east side will come in conjunction with additional limestone, entrance gates, fencing and landscaping to bring the east stadium up to the standard in service and appearance established throughout the rest of LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Kid Zone / Family Playground
The creation of a K-State themed Kid Zone will enhance the family friendliness of the stadium giving parents a location to let their young children relax and play before, during and after the game.

East Premium Seating Updates
A facelift to the east side Briggs Auto Club level and private suites will reward these loyal fans with new seating, aesthetic improvements and service components.

Anyone notice that the recruiting lounge and Varsity Club from the old Phase III now appear to be missing (structure to the north of WSC)?  Perhaps they will be incorporated into the new Vanier?

So basically we're just building a new stadium around the existing non-luxury seats.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Limestone across the top please. The LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium letters they have across the top looks like they were bought from Home Depot for $14.50. We can do better friends.

I'm imagining less just a simple layer limestone facade and more an actual addendum structure to the east side that matches the grandeur of the other side. I believe AyoSaba had a few photoshops of that earlier in this thread that tried to visualize this but too lazy to dig them up right now.

Oh i agree eventually that could happen, but they could do some simple things in the meantime to spruce it up. The top of that looks super cheap right now. Hell put an LED board up there. I'm for anything that makes it look better asap.

Up until ADJC we probably all thought that looked pretty decent.  Remember being excited about the new bathrooms over there?  :flush:

I think I remember the rumors being they intended to make it a lot better but money ran out. Glad the river of gold is now flowing through Manhattan.

Mediocre Max Urick ran the athletic department back then, he did everything on the cheap because he couldn't raise money.

Man, and to think of what we could have been doing in 2003-2006, on the heels of a BigXII championship and a strong economy.  Put it in perspective, ADJC has raise the majority of his money during the recession.
