The design is still in development, but I've seen a rendo within the last few weeks, and can confirm 360 seating (2 tunnels) maybe 15-20 rows high. Concourse is not entirely covered, but it appears to be continuous. I like it. If anything, the design seems to be getting bigger from when I first saw it.

Really was not feeling very good about Currie when he and Frank had their falling out, but he's making me forget about all that with all these well done renovations. We're finally going to have comparable facilities to other Big XII programs after an eternity of being behind. Thanks JC!!!

Yes, JC gets it.  We are way behind most of the Big XII facilities and that is what keeps us from getting the 4 & 5 stars athletes.  When the kids see what the other programs have to offer, we end up losing out on recruit.  If Currie gets his way, you can be assured we will have a very nice football program and attract the athletes we need for a winning program. 

I agree, we should build as many buildings for the athletes as possible and spend as much money as possible on each one.

But srssly, strike while the iron is hot, i'm still drunk on Titletown.  We have 3 revenue sports that not want, deserve more funding, and we should get them every penny we can until they dud out.  With luck, that might be a long time off...

Nothing here that's very encouraging.

It's pretty clear they're keeping this close to the vest.  His public comments don't engender much optimism of a quick turnaround, granted.  But, it's been my impression that behind the scenes, things are progressing well.  "preliminary designs have been discussed" is a very vague, political statement.  What I've seen is not a preliminary sketch or concept.  But, it's too be expected.  Until they've gotten all of the funding locked down, what else would we expect him to say?  It's pretty obvious they're too smart to let a Gridiron Club scenario play out.  I would guess that once they reach their internal goal, we see this thing unveiled to the public very quickly.

Are we pretty settled into thinking that it is all about reaching funding goals and not about settling any infighting between a) Vaniers, or b) big timey donors that donated millions to WSC & don't want to see something newer & shinier outshine what they donated to so early?

you guys know that stat boards or whatever that were down for half the year. i heard it was because they forgot to take out the controls for those boards when they imploded the pbox. crazy, huh? 

Sounds like those will still be there next year, but when the new South Video board comes it will expand to the width of the stat boards, and become taller according to someone I talked to today who saw a rendering.
