The design is still in development, but I've seen a rendo within the last few weeks, and can confirm 360 seating (2 tunnels) maybe 15-20 rows high. Concourse is not entirely covered, but it appears to be continuous. I like it. If anything, the design seems to be getting bigger from when I first saw it.

Nothing to add other than I had a dream about the NEZ last night.  It was awesome.  Woke up with a boner (of course).

Really was not feeling very good about Currie when he and Frank had their falling out, but he's making me forget about all that with all these well done renovations. We're finally going to have comparable facilities to other Big XII programs after an eternity of being behind. Thanks JC!!!

obvs, until anyting is announced, design is subject to change.  what I saw (more than a few weeks ago) did not have connected seating in the corners, like the SEZ.  Still looked badass, but the angled corner gaps (which were very narrow, btw) were landscaped terraces, if I recall.  yes on the tunnels.  just looked fantastic.  whatever the final design, it's going to be realy gd impressive if it's anything like what I've seen.

Yeah, thinking back, you could be right about there still being small corner gaps. If they were there, they were small, but that would actually make sense because I was wondering how everything would line up otherwise. So instead of 360 degrees, more line 358 degrees. Doesn't really matter. It will make the NEZ more exclusive while the concourse is continuous.

I'm kicking myself for not paying closer attention to the tunnels. Honestly can't say about the tarp situation.

How much glass does Vanier 2.0 have (on the field side). I want it to be almost all glass.

Decent amount of glass, but still pretty limestoney to keep the castle look. It's just a really nice looking expansion. Really ties the whole stadium together.

The real question is, will the NEZ bleachers rise from the first row to the last row at the same angle as the SEZ bleachers and the rest of the stadium? Because currently the NEZ bleachers are basically flat. tia.

If anything, I think the NEZ may be a bit steeper than the SEZ. This allows them to put the new Vanier pretty close to the field.

This is one of the issues they're running into.  I believe the rake of the NEZ will actually be steeper than the rest of the lower bowl out of necessity.  Not an architect/engineer, so not entirely sure.  something about elevation and connecting concourses.   :dunno:

If they are at a different slope, it would make sense that the seating won't completely connect.

Maybe someone with a little time and talent could start up an MS paint version and these ITK'ers could start giving yay's and nay's to things until it starts to look like what they saw?

Any time line on competition projectos once the money is funded? I know those are always dicey but start of 15 would be amazing
