20 rows across the NEZ (there's like 44 around the rest of the bowl) with lodge boxes and closed boxes at the top would be boss as hell.  Would look very cool on tv.

Put some sick ass limestone castle football complex behind it to mirror the outside facing part of the WSC.  Throw in mad tricks and treats in there for players and coaches.  We could kick ass for the next 25 yrs.

Sounds good to me. Pan, sorry, no permanent bleaches on any of the 4 sides around the field is very small-timey. Boone-Pickens will never be totally elite because of it.

I have to agree. I don't want more seating unless we need it (we don't ATM), but I'd like to at least have the appearance of more seating. Like maybe we take down the small time aluminum bleachers and and add chairbacks in NEZ or something so that the spacing of people is more, so it's a net zero, but has the appearance of more. I dunno. Just don't like the thought of no seating at all in NEZ. Plus, I'd like it if there was some way to connect the concourse around the stadium so you can walk all the way around if you want.

I think Boone-Pickens is pretty elite... I think they're too elite, they have way to much premium seating and the red dirt poors down there can't afford to fill the place up.

I agree that the stadium overall is pretty great, but the wall for an endzone is a big mark against it from being super great.

If you've seen it, I'd simply like to know the scale of the project. As in, about how many rows of seats, height/width of Vanier 2.0 etc. A super basic MSPaint would suffice.

Not to discount our insider types, but permanent seating would be all but guaranteed with any reno.  I would assume connected concourse would be 80% chance even without insider hints.  Its everything else that I need to know!

I've seen it.  and man, wish I could be more specific, but until this thing it announced publicly...  as we all know, big timey KSU architect-types read the internets, including this blog.

I'm not good with scope, so i dunno, twice the size of current vanier?  taller and wider.  I mean, all I can really say is that it connects the east and west side, making it look like a connected, completed stadium.  Not like Vanier, which looks like a building squatting in the north endzone.  if that makes any sense.

I played NCAA football two thousand whatever this years is, with my nephews at Christmas, and the north end of our stadium looks like an out of place limestone shanty town* in that game. So that makes complete sense.

Yes it does and that makes me very happy. That is my ultimate wish is to make it appear as though it was all designed to be together and not a hodge podge of nice, but separate, buildings at one location. Thanks Belvis.

Not ITK but if I was doing the project I'd do the limestone wall as part of this project, unless it's an expense issue. You're already in there doing work on a no too insignificant perimeter distance of the football field, if you want it all to gel together might as well do it all in one fell swoop. But given our mismatching turf history is not exactly on our side.

I think the Gallagher Iba end of T Boone looks aweful and distracts from the other improvememts they made to try to make a purse out of that sow's ear. Same with the interstate sign end of flood aggy's lake and the bad person that is the SEZ in lawrence. And dont get me started on the pukestain in Columbia that looks like a blind cobbler was in charge of expansions or the cornmaze and lack of sightlines in lincoln.    Give me NEZ enlcosure with symmetry of the main seating bowl and other portions that look like they fit in with what is already there and BSFS will be more impressive than any of those venues.

You guys can keep arguing over stuff like NEZ seating, limestone walls, etc, but stuff like this is what I'm most concerned about. I want guys like Mueller and Clink to be able to eat 5,000 calories of protein without having to drive to the Derb.
