guys can we get this thread back to pictures/info about the stadium?  i like lazy rivers as much as the next guy, but you guys are 'tarding it up with motors and crap.  You simply float around, that's the fun of it.  Take your hayseed motors out to the lake by Lawrence, redneck hayseed types.  sheesh

I kind of like our "ramp" entrance, but I want to see the visitors dressing room moved.   Maybe across the little road that goes down into the field in carved out of the hill in the Northeast corner.

Just drove past the stadium meat goats were out and those new bathrooms or whatever they are building up top on the east side look pretty kstateo to me.

Not sure where PW got his sq ft. estimates but I'll play along with some hypotheticals based on those numbers.

If the new press box stretches a full 120 yards long; that puts Level 1 at roughly 200 feet deep. This means it would reach well into the first half dozen or so parking spots on the west lot......Pretty big! This makes me wonder if PW's square footage number for the first level includes landscaping, plantings, sidewalks etc. etc.

Level 2 at that same width would be 105 feet. deep. I'm assuming it is calculating in some overhang for club seating just as the east side club seats hang a bit over the lower level.

Levels 3 and up would then estimate out at about 95 feet deep. 35 feet deeper than the current press box (which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 200' by 60' at the upper levels) and this is all assuming that levels 2 and up actually stretch a full 360' football field.

I assume the square footage for Level 1 would includes the 25,000 square feet for the new weight room/training table that would be in the northwest corner (connecting to the north end of the new pressbox and the west side of Vanier).  Of the 73,000 square feet for Level 1, I'm picturing about 48,000 for the actual pressbox structure.  That would make Level 1 only about 133 feet deep (assuming 120 yards long).  Still big, but not as massive as the 200 feet you estimated.

Drove past it today to and couldn't agree with you more.  It's like, hey, K-State, build the bathrooms, but build them in the way you usually go about doing things.

That would drastically improve it.  Right now they are just red support beams and it's just so...K-State, ya know?

The basketball facility rendering make it look ok. I guess. It's still very kstatey. I remember wondering when they were going to finish the west aide. Then five years went by and I was like "oh. Wow. I guess it is finished. Well that's kind of surprising. Hmmm"

Agreed. I think the restrooms will be clad in limestone. And I'm sure some cool graphics packages will be installed. With some good uplighting at night, the project will probably look pretty solid.

Fact is that the east side exterior isnt an upgrade priority right now.  And I have zero problem with that.  Knock out the bball facility and the west side. And then overhaul bramlage. Maybe in 20 years well be talking about Aesthetics of the east side.
