Poll

Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

Damn, K-State's midget press box is almost as big as KU's now.

just realized that Memorial has no club seats.  we've got endzone-endzone suites and club levels on both sides.   :kstategrad:
Poor people don't need club seats. However, recliners give them trailer home comfort with open air atmosphere. I'm sure it's quite the experience.

KU's press box is about twice the size of the old dev. This is roughly 8x the size.

I would think a smaller south endzone upper deck with loge boxes and a bunch of cheap bleacher seats would be profitable.  Think cheap season tickets like the ones they sell in the upper deck on the east side.  Price it correctly and it'll fill up, especially with the increase in population.

They wouldn't price them right, those would become the "Donate $10 to send a ticket to a soldier at Ft. Riley" seats

Have you noticed the east upper deck lately?  Those seats are absolute crap, but sell them at $99/season and people will come in and cheer and buy concessions.  Currie has shown he knows how to price seats so that they'll sell.

Currie and Scott Garret who runs tickets are geniuses when it comes to selling tickets.

I mean the master plan shows something above the SE EZ that looks like some sort of deck.  And there were rumors a while back on the shitty site that Currie wants to get it to 55-60k.  I would say it's likely that our capacity gets to somewhere in that range in the next decade assuming all the money continues to come in.

This is where the beer comes in.  We'd get to 60K per game pretty easily if we sold beer.

Build a south endzone party porch, sell beer up there like a club level

The club level on the west side is already higher than the east side's. I think a SEZ addition would make our stadium look really piecemeal/thrown together.

Not a fan.

While it's probably too expensive, I'd like them to totally redo the east side then to match (to a degree) the WSC. Something the looks pretty similar both internally and externally but instead of having a press level and (maybe) 2 levels of suites knock it down to 1 level of suits, put some cheap seats that would only be like 20 rows that gets to the height of the WSC. Then maybe we can get some continuity when the SEZ work is done. But probably just a dream and they'll try to make it work probably some other way.

1. Just fuckin doze Vanier, make the North end stands similar to the south end stands. Incorporate state-of-the-art football facility/lockerrooms/tunnels with it. Similar to Arizona or Indiana (as Dax suggested) to help with 'cruits when Snyds is gone.

2. Facade the East side exterior to look similar to the West Side Castle exterior.

Leaves for expansion up on both the south and north ends which will never be needed, ever.

I have always thought it was weird that they let the club seats/overhang on the east side block the view of the field from the concourse.

The fact that currie just spent 3m on the bathrooms of the east side tells me it is here to stay.
